(Maximos POV)
After the long flight to Hawaii I was surprised when to see Ivy in the air port talking to two of the hula girls that put the Leis around your neck when you arrive. I thought she’d be more hidden. I look over at josh and he’s flirting with one of the hula girls not to far from where we exited the plane. This maybe a good chance to try to get close to her. I think to myself. I slither through the crowd of people towards Ivy. That’s when my nose locks onto her scent? She has a scent? She’s one of them! I determine. Anger fills my body at the thought of them forcefully changing her into a beast.
“Beast.” I let the words roll off my tongue like gasoline igniting a fire.
I am a few feet away from her when a hula girl stops me in my tracks.
Damn.
