Kaitlin’s POV
I coolly rolled my shoulders, ready to give this jerk a run for his money. My head was starting to get a dull ache from how hard he pulled my hair, but I focused all my attention on the male. I almost missed the sound of an attack coming from my back, but a snarl and thud had me guessing back up had arrived. I hoped Annika woke up soon and helped push whatever was affecting me out of my system.
I smiled a taunting smile at the male, and he launched himself at me and I met his shifted form with my human one. I trained for hours fighting in both ways if something like this ever happened. I dove under the leaping figure and made a mental note to find other ways to launch an attack. The leap first method was starting to get old real fast.
