The rest of the conversation was short as we made our way back through the castle and into the cells. Each Beta was tending to a small group of people, and I noticed several warriors were also carting in supplies. Everyone seemed defeated in this space.
“Can we move them out of here please?” I said, looking around, and Ari and Sabrine looked at me. The thought had not even crossed their minds. I could read that clearly in their faces. “They are miserable in here. No amount of healing is going to help if they are forced to be here any longer. The moon is high, bring them outside. Now,” I commanded, and they nodded.
