“Where will we stay?” He leans into me, drawing deep breaths like he is desperate for air. I am screaming in my mind as Annika pushes forward and leans over to the male and whispers into his ear, “Maybe with me Alpha, if you wish.” I hear his heart skip a beat, like physically stop at her words, and I cringe and scream at her some more.
