Christi's POV It was early morning—before the break of day. I had already gotten out of bed over a hundred times to check the window, in hopes of seeing the purpling sky. Finally, when I thought it was just the perfect time, I hurried out of my sleeping dress to get ready for my first day of training. Nostalgia hit me as the steaming hot water drenched me. I was just as excited about practicing my fencing as my 12-year-old self once was. Flashback: "My little kitty." My father's voice called from a distance, "Kitty, it's time to wake up." He called again, much nearer than the last time. I pulled a long face as my sleepy eyes opened, "Dadddd! You didn't say it'd be so early in the morning!" The door of my sleeping chamber opened and father allowed himself in, filled with joy and energy
