Under the Night Sky

Chapter 3

"So all of his money and assets will go to you." Her mother said while we are on our way to the Cemetery.

"As far as I know, he doesn't have any living relative or any children" Her father said smiling triumphantly.

"Mom, Dad, someone died! Can we just stop talking about his money?"

"Oh, Darling" Her mother said while smiling as if they were planning this all along. Dani got a feeling that her parents knew something about her husband sudden death.

The family arrived at the cemetery. The atmosphere not only looked gloomy but felt gloomy, even for Dani. Only a few people attended the funeral. Everywhere she looked there were no smiles, they looked as if they didn't even care.

Dani decided to see her husband one last time. Even though he tried to r**e her on their wedding night, she was still his wife.

As the casket lowered into the ground, no tears were shed except for Dani. But honestly it wasn’t sadness. It was happiness. Happiness that she was free from him and the thought that somehow she can't get away from her parents, with the help Mikael's, her husband, money.

The thought of running away makes her excited. As they walked away from the cemetery. She saw strangers, an older woman and a man, standing on her husband's grave. The older woman weeped as if she lost her first love. She left wondering who those people are.

As they arrived to his husband mansion which she owns now they met her husband's attorney.

"Hello Mr and Mrs. Saavedra, and to you, Mrs. Dominik. I am Atty. John Delos Reyes, personal attorney of Mr. Mikael Dominik."

"Oh great! Are we gonna talk about the inheritance?" Her mother happily exclaimed.

"Please be seated while we wait for the other parties."

"What other parties?!" Her mother's exclaimed and at that moment an older woman walked-in the room.

The woman in her late forties walked briskly in her black knee-length worn-out dress. Gray haired showing in her black hair.She, somewhat fragile but intelligent in expression. Deep brown eyes looks mischievous. Beautiful and gentle face.

And a man followed her. He had manly, peppered stubble. Definer cheekbones, concrete jaw, hard eyes,a devilish look, a face and body that worked hard.

As he walked across the room, Dani looked at him and then their eyes met. His eyes glint with hatred. And as for Dani, her heart skipped a beat. She cannot fathom what she was seeing, as she trembled in fear on her seat remembering her wedding night. The man looked exactly like his dead husband, only he looked younger than her husband. The man was confused to see the woman trembled in fear as if he was going to hurt her.

Dani's heart beats too fast, she sweats and at the time she felt cold. She wanted to get out of the room and hid under her bed. Her thoughts were interrupted when attorney talked.

"Sam, I am glad you came and I am sorry your loss." The attorney looked at Samantha with hurt and worry as he knew Samantha's love for Mikael.

"Aciel, i am sorry, thank you for coming." Dani's family continuesly looked at the attorney's gestures toward the newcomers as if he knew them and stared at them disgustedly on how they looked.

"As we are now complete, lets begin the will-reading." The attorney started.

"As for Mrs. Dominik, Danielle, and her family, I know you are wondering who these people are. Let me introduce them to all you.

This is Samantha Planellas, mother of Aciel. and this Mr. Aciel Dominik, Mikael's son"

Dani and her parents looked shocked as they stare at Aciel.

"Wai..Wait! He's a Mikael's son?!" Her mother exclaimed.

"How? What is this attorney? Mikael didn't even mentioned he had a son! Never did he mentioned a son!" Her father shouted at the attorney.

"Please calm down. Well, these are the papers that Mikael recognized Aciel as his son. I know that Mikael must have a reason as to why he didn't announced publicly that he has a son."

"And we will now begin to read the will, which Mikael prepared months before he married Dani"

"I, Mikael Dominik, leave all my money, assets properties to my son, Aciel Do..."

"What?! This is before he met Dani. She should get to have something from him!" Dani's mother interrupted the Attorney.

"Please calm down and let me continue" The attorney sighed getting irritated at the woman.

"I, Mikael Dominik, leave all money, assets and properties to my son, Aciel Dominik, if at time of my death that I am not married.

and if at the time I got married before my death then I request to put on-hold of my inheritance for one year. At the time of my death, my attorney will manage all of my assets and properties for one year.

In those one year, I want my wife and my son to live together in my mansion for one year for them to get a long because i am leaving them my business,my assets and properties except for my rest house.

If my wife and son failed to comply they will not inherit anything.

For my dearest Samantha, I want you to know that i am sorry. I am you leaving my rest house to you. You will be forever in my heart. "

Everyone was quiet except for Dani's heart beating so fast and loudly. She watched Aciel smirked at her.

As his eyes on her, she felt butterflies on her stomach. Her skipped a beat. She doesn't know how or why her heart skipped a beat, all she thinks is how dangerous he was after all he was her husband's son.

She hoped and prayed that he was not like his father.
