Three months later, Dr Zainab visited her village to inform the villagers that some Government officials would be visiting Ashurla soon.
Dr Zainab shared with her husband the experience she had with the Minister of Works at the hospital. Peter astutely advised her to suggest the provision of social amenities in Ashurla. She took his advice, surprisingly, the minister considered the suggestion, and approved the construction of roads, a standard hospital, renovation of all state schools, and the building of a water reservoir in Ashurla.
After explaining the purpose of their coming, the council of chiefs, elders and the youth delegates applauded her. They were very happy with her.
"We are very proud of you, my daughter", one of the chiefs said.
"Thank you, sir!"
On the following day, a dispatch rider visited the house of the Head of the Council of Chiefs of Ashurla, and submitted a letter to him. The letter was written to inform the people of Ashurla that some Government officials would be visiting them in one week time. The date was slated for the following week, and the venue was at the town hall.
"Thank you!" the chief said.
The dispatch rider slightly smiled and nodded, then he left.
A few minutes later, Dr Zainab arrived at the head chief's house, informing him that she was returning to the city. He showed her the letter. Upon reading it, she smiled and promised to return a day before the slated date.l in order to attend the meeting.
