CHAPTER VI: The Nerd & The Brat

I hate that you are hurting because of them…

The next morning, I woke up earlier than my usual routine. I want to explore the scenic mountain view. I instinctively looked up to where my princess was sleeping. She’s still wrapped beside my rival. I wish I was the one beside her; the one she’ll wake up to every morning. Gosh! It’s so early to be upset!

I stretched my arms and noticed that Jojo was not beside me. I went outside our tent and saw him talking to some new hikers. He saw me and signaled me to join them. They were having their breakfast.

“Morning B!”, Jojo greeted and offered me an extra cup of hot coffee.

“Morning. Thanks, J!”

He introduced me to his new friends but only as his best friend. He’s only doing that if he liked one of the guys within the group. I chuckled to myself. He never changed. He’s like the other version of my old self. Flirting with some random stranger as I please.

My attention was diverted to my princess when I saw her went out of the tent with Nerdy Girl. Why are they still hugging?! Still not satisfied from last night?!

“They really were perfect for each other.”, Jojo whispered by my side.

I snorted. Perfect my ass!

They called one of Nerdy Girl’s workmate and asked for a picture. I excused myself from the group and walked away from another heartbreaking scene.

When everyone’s awake, we made our way up to the Rockies. And like yesterday, my princess was partnered up with the Nerdy Girl! Could we switch up partners today?! I really hate you now Jojo Santos!

When we reached the top of the Rockies, we were greeted by the picturesque city of Batangas. I momentarily savor the moment. Then we continued our trail up to the Summit. Some of our friends grabbed extra snacks and refreshments from a*****e named ‘7/11’. Our last destination was the Grotto. I saw my princess having difficulty descending from the Summit and she complained about having too much effort on it than ascending. I can’t help but to be amazed again by her cute expression!

After we completed our Mount Maculot experience, we took a quick shower at the end of our trail. Jojo and I stayed because we needed to meet up with our parents that were having a business meeting nearby. I felt a little melancholic when I bid farewell to my princess.

Jojo heard me deeply sighed and said, “B! Why are you so down? Your face was so grief-stricken that you looked like an old lady! Don’t worry! I’m sure our arranged marriage were still set on 2018.”

J got busy texting someone then after a while, I heard him talking on his phone.

“Yo! Why, girl? What happened? You chickened out again? Hmm… Okay. But Frincez, if ever there’s a chance that you two met up again, do everything and fight for your girl! Do you understand me? Don’t let your chance slip away. Who cares if she rejects you again? At least you tried to express all your unspoken feelings for her! No more what-ifs left in your mind! Grab the opportunity and ravish your girl like a wild animal! Show her what you’ve got! Then share me all the details if our friend is really good in bed!”

I guess he’s talking with my princess and encouraging her again to continue seducing the Nerdy Girl. Really good in bed, huh?! So that nerd looking girl was a playgirl like me?! So, we’re almost the same! I still got the chance to divert my princess’ attention to me!

“What? I’m just proud of our friend! Iona said that Carly always bragged about how good Milena is! I just want to know if how good she is when you two do the thing! Rate it from 1 to 100! Oops. I’m just kidding my friend. Ha-ha. But seriously, just man up! Okay?”, Jojo continued.

I pouted. He really shipped those two!

My gloomy aura worsened after our meeting with our parents. The marriage was set on stone! By June 2017, they wanted us to start scheduling and planning our grand wedding checklist. Our wedding will be held at the Église Saint-Gervais in Marais on June 2018. How could we escape this upcoming entrapment?

September 2016.

Weeks after our mountain hike, I was hanging out with Jojo and Isabel at a mall when we saw that nerdy rival of mine! She was with a girl that looked like her girlfriend!

Jojo sighed and said, “Cez lost again.”

I curiously asked, “Huh? Again? Why? What do you mean by that?”

Isabel interjected, “You also knew those girls, B?! They were my students at Jojo’s school many years ago! I think they were a secret couple back then. And wow! They’re still together after thirteen years?! They were so cute together!”

Jojo answered, “Lena and Azil broke up before our high school graduation and that made Milena’s life miserable. That’s why I’m hoping that she’ll be with our other friend, Cez, who was Lena’s best friend since freshmen year. Frincez loves her so much and I know that she’ll never hurt Lena, but the latter really loves that bratty girl, Azil! The story between the three of them is a sad thing to watch! You should have joined our mountain hike last month, Isa! I’m the matchmaker of Lena and Cez that time! But I think Azil was back to Milena’s life.”

Isabel pouted, “Oh! Sorry about that I’m so busy at my work. I couldn’t believe that I missed such good opportunity!”

I felt a sting of pain in my chest again. My princess was so madly in love with that nerd! And that nerd didn’t appreciate my princess’ love!

Jojo called my princess as we continue to watch the couple meters away from us.

“Hey, friend! I have some good news and bad news for you... Ha-Ha. Um. Alright! I’ll let you hear the good news first! The good news is… Milena is still available…”, he paused dramatically.

We noticed that the nerd girl is simply avoiding the sweetness of the other girl. It seems like they were still not a couple but it’s obvious that there’s a s****l connection between them. You could see both in their eyes that they still love each other. It was different from that time when I saw this nerd girl being close with my princess. That was a friendly love, and this in front of us is a love for romantic couples.

Jojo continued, “Ha-ha. You’re a spoilsport! Alright! Milena’s available but… she and her first love started hanging out again! I told you! You shouldn’t let your opportunity passed the last time!”

Isa and I cursed a little when Jojo said that. He’s so insensitive! He shouldn’t tell details like that to my princess! After his call, I punched him on his stomach and Isa slapped the back of his head and then we walked away from him.

“What the heck, girls! What did I do?!”, he shrieked and stomped his foot like a teenage girl. I shook my head in disapproval. Such a drama queen!

“Imbecile!”, Isa and I both said in unison.
