Appointment 2

Lara arrived at the hospital looking very very scared. She got second in the line because the doctors office opened in the afternoon at 3pm and she arrived at 2:30. She got startled when someone called her," Shoot, this is it." "Good afternoon Doc." "Ohh Hi Lara it's nice to see you here again for the check up. Have you told your family members?" He said and looked behind me, but a disappointment filled him. "I- I'm sorry I still cannot tell them this." I know how hard this could be but I just don't want them to pity them if I got paralyzed or anything. I don't want them to suffer either. My life doesn't depend on them, but it depends on myself especially, because I'm the one who will fight this thing. I will fight this battle alone and I hope for the best. "That's fine but I hope you will tell them as soon as possible." "I will fight this battle alone." I smiled. "If I may ask, why?" "Hmm, I just want to take this suffering for myself. I don't want them to join them, I'm not a person who always depends on others." I explained. "Lara, sometimes we really need someone on our side. Don't make them suffer more. What if something happens? They will blame themselves." "My daughter once did that to us and the pain is incurable." I stared at him and he was too close to cry. My eyes are also tearing up. I just really can't tell them this.
