I wasn't surprised that Roman knew where my parents were. His connections were vast and he was protective with those he loved. He kept his cards close, his loved ones safe as he accounted for all situations.
"She called in a favor for me. I owe her a lot. And the reason I didn't send them to you in Rome is because you already have so much going on. I knew if there was any other place you would advise me to send them, the Hattori's would be at the top of your list."
Roman nodded, a proud glint in his eyes as he squeezed my hand momentarily in reassurance.
