Prologue

"Elize wake up it's time to get up for school" my mom calls me. Ugh I am so tired I didn't sleep well last night.

I still get up. Take a shower, dry my hair ,get dressed and go down to eat my breakfast.

"Good morning mom and dad" i greet my parents.

They both say at the same time "Good Morning sweetheart." My dad say " I am going to take you to school today princess. Your mom and I will be a little late to pick you up from school today so stay with your teacher till we get there okay." My dad really looked nervous saying this so I just nod. I have a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen today but I just ignore it what could happen today on this beautiful day. I go with my dad to his Range Rover and he buckles me up and gets the car. We drive and get to my school and say goodbye to dad and kisses him on his cheek. I walk to my locker and get my textbook for my first class. I am gonna see him now. I love staring at him when he isn't looking. That's why I sit at the back of the class. I always keep my grades up so the teachers doesn't care that I am at the back of the class. I have had a crush on Vincent since I met him. I know you think it's puppy love but I love him very much. You might think that a 9 year old can't possibly think that's she's in love, Tell her that. I know he won't look this way because I can see he looks at my cousin all the time while I just stare at him like a love sick puppy. She has had a crush on him as well. I can't blame her he's really handsome,muscular and sexy and cocky, of course he is, he's a jock. The girl next to me tells me "Your drooling Elize." I can't help my cheeks turn pink from embarrassment.

She tells me "You know your day dreaming about him won't come reality, you'd see how he always stares at your cousin. So stop it already your

pathetic."

I know I should be used to it by now but it still hurts that they talk to me like that. I just ignore her and listen to the teacher. They day flew by quickly and the school comes out. i told the teacher what my father told me to do and she says it's ok. We have been waiting for 1 hour already and my father is still not here so we go to the office but instead we found my Uncle John and his wife Christelle at the Principals office to get me. I knew something bad happened to my parents while looking at their faces.
