Chapter Twenty-Six Into the City She didn’t exactly have a plan. She wanted to reach Arturo, but she couldn’t see the steps that would get her to him. The city was huge; there was no way to find him by just sneaking about. She’d listened to enough revolutionary tales of life in the city to know teenagers weren’t supposed to be out unaccompanied after sundown and that the patrol officers with nightsticks and flashlights had a strict hit-first, never-listen-to-explanations policy.
