1 year later I was conscious of the early morning light filtering through the bedroom blinds I hadn’t bothered to close, but my focus was elsewhere, split between two senses. The first was one ever present in my room; the terrarium I had made for Taylor. The scent, at times, drove Hawk and me to a near brink, but neither of us could bear to part with it. I had made it for my dew drop and, call me deluded, I dreamed that there could be a day in the future where I would hand it over to him, to show I had safeguarded a part of him.
