"What happened to you, who are you?" Milan interrupts him. All eyes are on Zoran, from which radiates the fear of what has befallen him.
"I am the hand of evil, the rider of your doom! I am the servant of my Lord and the bringer of death!"
"You're an ass," Nenad swings his rifle butt. Milan knows he's only doing it out of fear and stops him:
"I told you to wait. So Zoran, who is your master?"
Terrible laughter comes from the sergeant's throat. He tenses again and tries to free himself from the rope with which he was tied. This time he succeeds, the bonds loosen. Milan addresses himself to Nenad:
"Has a state of war been declared?"
"Yeah."
"Then martial law is in effect. Kill him."
Nenad, shaken, points the barrel of the rifle between the sergeant's eyes, which look back fearfully.
