As soon as we arrive home, Jake and I part ways and head to our individual condos. We have spent so much time together during the weekend that a little space feels refreshing. I walk into my cosy apartment, feeling a mix of exhaustion and excitement from our trip. I drop my dead phone on the charger, its battery drained after we arrived in Chicago yesterday Chicago. I know it desperately needs some juice to come back to life and reconnect me with the outside world. With that task underway, I decide it's time to give my weary body some rest.
