CHAPTER 3: THE TRAITOR

“ Boss I found out who is behind your parents death” sky said,

“ Who did it?” I said as the flash back of everything that happened played in my head,

*****Flash back**** 3 years ago***

“ Mum Adrian doesn't want to sing happy birthday to me” Melody said,

Melody is my little sister,she was clocking twenty years, I was not in the mood to sing her happy birthday, but it doesn't mean I joke with her, I don't joke with her, I pampered her and I protect her,

“ Adrian sing for your sister happy birthday it her birthday,” mum said to me from the kitchen,

Melody sat beside me on the long couch,

“ Mum am not in the mood for that,” I said getting up,

The door opened and dad Walk in with cake on his hands,

“ Happy birthday sweetie” dad said as Melody ran to him and took the cake,

Melody was so happy she took the cake to the table as dad followed her,

“ Come sit with us Adrian” he said as he sat down with Melody,

I knew he will say that, I had to obey, I can disobey any one but not my dad he will always find way to bend me to his rules,

I was about walking to the table when I heard the door bell, I walked to the door and opened it, it was Diego,

Diego is my childhood friend, he has always been there for me,

“Hey bro come in” I said as I made way for him to come in,

We both walked to the table where everyone was sitting, mum has already dished food for everyone, we just sat down,

“ Let sing happy birthday to our beautiful angel and soon to be mafia Queen,

I never wanted her in the Mafia word but dad is always dad,

Am not fully a mafia boss, I never wanted to be a mafia but dad is always dad, I will become full mafia boss if dad dies which am praying for him not to,

“ 1 2 3 Go happy birthday to you…..”they all sang together, they were all happy,

After singing she made her wish and blew off the candle cake,

After that Diego gave her gift as always, in the gift box Diego gave her was a watch,

She was so happy that she jumped on him, thanking him, immediately she wore the watch,

I also gave her gift and everyone started eating,

Everyone was startled by the loud sound of gun shot,

“ Sheet they found us” dad said as he took mum's hand,

“ Come with me he said to mum” and you he pointed at me, protect your sister, and Diego “ he said and ran upstairs with mum,

“Come on let go” I said as I took Melody hand and ran to the direction of the hidden room,

We got to the double room where no one can never notice,

“ Stay in here, I have to protect dad also,” I said as I locked the door and ran off,

I got to the parlor and it was all messy, blood was stained everywhere,

I brought out my gun, why is the room so quiet, I thought,

I walked across the room as I heard a scream,

Sheet that was Melody,

I ran back to the double room, I heard he scream again,

I tried opening the door but it won't, did they lock it from inside,

I tried breaking down the door but it won't,

“ Please don't do this please” I heard Melody cry, as I heard the sound of a tearing clothes,

“They wants to r**e her?” no no I hit the door but it was too thick, I regret why we made the door double,

Her cries and pleading was heard as they took advantage of her,

I kept crying as I heat the door, I was helpless I couldn't do anything,

In a few minutes the cries and struggling stopped,

“ Melody “ I screamed her name,

Adrian please help m……. Her words was cut shot by the sound of gun shot as I heard the sound of her body heating the floor,

No no I cried I was pushing the door and heating it until I heard Diego voice from inside as he screamed Melody's name,

“ Diego open the door” I said,

In Less than a minute the door opened my eyes landed on my sister as she lay necked In the pool of her own blood,

I turned to Diego “ how did this happen” I said with anger,

“ I was shot when I tried to help her” he said,then I saw the blood coming out from his hand and leg,

I knelt behind myself sister as I cried in bitterness, nothing hurt like when you can do nothing when your loved one is being hurt,

I heard footsteps I turned and saw mum and dad,

“ Ahhhhh no no not Melody “ mum cried out as she fell on Melodys body,

Dad was just staring at me,

“ Dad I……”

“Don't dad me just one job, one job” he said walking towards me,

He pulled my collars as he shouted to my face,

“How did they get here? How? Dad asked me,

“ I don't……” he cut my word with a heavy punch on my face,

I fell back on the floor as he drew me up again, I spat out blood as he heat me again,

I fell so hard I started coughing,

“ You will kill him,” mum said as she ran to me,

“It not his fault “ Diego said from behind,

“ He was trying to save you guys “ he said,

“ I regret leaving your sister under your care” dad said and took mum's hand and they both left,

“It all my fault” I said out loud,

“ It not your fault” Diego said as he hugged me me,

Four days after Melody funeral mum and dad where living for Canada,

After packing mum and dad left for the plain,

At the airport I hugged mum good bye,

Dad didn't even look at me I was just a shadow,

I stood the as their plain took off,

I went back home, I was so bored I hard missed Melody so much,

I just on the television and sat to watch the news,

Then I heard the news of the plain that exploded,

I watch as they showed the plain,

Immediately I recognized it,

“Sheet sheet” that was dad plain, I ran into the room to dress up for the airport,

Immediately I came out I saw Diego sitting in the room,

“ Did you watch the news? Was that not your dad's plain,

“Yeah it was” I said as we both left for the airport,

“Who did it “ I asked sky,

“ Boss believe me when I said it Diego”
