CHAPTER 4: THE JOB RESIGNATION

I ran till I got inside my gate, oh God I really need to control my mouth,

I walked into the house and headed straight to the kitchen, I drop the stuffs I bought on the cabinet,

I walked into the living room and saw mum and junior watch a movie,

I really want to watch but I need to go for work,

“ Mum am back” I said and walked up to my room, I brought out the bundle of money he gave me,

Finally my dreams will come true, I took some money and put the rest in my drawer and walked into the bathroom to take my shower,

After that I dressed up and left the house,

I got to my working place and ran inside straight to my desk, I was packing the files on my desk when I felt uncomfortable,

I raised my head and they were all staring at me, I was confused, is there something on my face, I thought,

“ What's wrong? You are all freaking me out” I said dropping the file on my hands,

“Don't tell me you didn't read the news “ Vikki said as she made her way in to the premises,

“ I don't get you, what do I have to do with the news?” I asked her as I started picking up the files again,

“ You talked to him” Vikki said with her hands on the desk,

“ Talk to who? Vikki please stop you are scaring me “ I said,

Yeah sincerely I am becoming scared,

“You and Mr Adrain are all over the news baby girl “ she said leaving me shocked,

Yeah now I remember the paparazzis were taking photos,

“ I don't know why you are taking this serious, his car almost………..”

“ Sweetie he won't hurt you “ she said not letting me finish my words,

“ He is a killer Vikki, I hate him and at the same time scared of him,” I said, carrying the files and walked out of the premises,

The annoying path was that Vikki followed me,

“ Ana his hot and cute, you haven't even seen him kill have you?” She asked as she followed me,,

“ Nope I haven't seen him kill but I've heard, why don't you go for him?” I said as we walked into the office,

“ He doesn't like me like he likes you” she said,

“ Who told you he likes me,?” I said dropping the files on the table and turned to her,

“ I….. he was smiling at…you know….. you” she stammered,

“ Any way I don't like him, now drop that news aside I have a better news, I said sitting back on the table where the files was kept,

“ What is the news?” Better be good like you said,” Vikki said placing her hands on her waist,

“ You remember the scene that happened between me and Mr Adrian,?” I asked,

She just nodded her head,

“ He gave me a bundle of money, and it was a huge amount of money,

Am planning to start up my own shop, so am inviting you for partnership business “ I said, while waiting for her answers,

Wow girl when are we starting and how much are am paying” she said with excitement,

I placed my hand in my pocket and brought out a resignation letter, I waved it in her face,

“Am resigning today, by tomorrow am going shopping for a shop” I said while smiling,

“ Am resigning too”, Vikki said, bringing out her resignation letter from her pocket,

“When did you write it?” I asked in shock,

*Surprised?” she asked,

“ I knew one day will come when I will resign so I have this letter all on my table, am always ready Ana” she said as we both walked out of the office,

I so much love this girl, guess we will make a good partner,

After our conversation we left for our various office,

It was closing hour already, I packed my things making sure am not forgetting anything,

After packing everything I walked out of my office as Vikki also was coming out of her office,

So we both walked to the C.E.O office,

As we got there I knocked on the door twice no response, me and Vikki exchanged looks,

“ This is an opportunity no need of explanation, let just get inside and drop it on the table “ Vikki said as she pushed the door open,

There was no one inside it was empty,so we got in dropped the letter on the table and left immediately,

After we left the company we were just walking down the street,

“ Shouldn't we celebrate our freedom?” Vikki said,

“Some snacks and drinks won't hurt” I said as we walked in to a close by restaurant,

We sat in one of the empty sits as we ordered our food,

“ Wow babe your dreams have come to passed all thanks to Mr Adrian,” Vikki said while taking her food from the waiter,

“ Yeah all thanks to him but I don't really care or like him I am focused now on setting up my own business,” I said while chewing the food on my mouth

After the celebration we left for our various homes,

When I got home I was really tired damn tired, I just walked into the house and sat down on the couch,

“Why are you coming back this late?”i hear mum asking me,

I just ignored her,

“ The landlord came and the deadline is tomorrow” mum said,in anger,

“ Ok mum I've heard you”, I said as I got up and walked to the stairs,

“ Do you have the money Ana?” Mum asked,

I stopped at the spot and turned to her,

“ You don't care right, you always ask for anything with out even checking if I have, so this doesn't concern you,

“ I screamed at her and ran upstairs,

I got into my room slam the door, I couldn't even bath or do anything I just went straight to the bed and cried my self to sleep,

It was afternoon already as I woke up,

I transfered the house rent to our landlord,after that I took my bath and dressed up ready to go for shop shopping,
