My seclusion disturbed by them.
I could smell something new, and it made my nostrils tingle. The mist had a woodsy, earthy scent that made me think of my deepest wishes. The rich smell of leather was adamantly masculine. In my whole life, I had never smelled anything like this. Even though I was unfamiliar with the aroma, something inside of me started to feel familiar. The scent seemed to contain a piece of myself that had been missing for a long time.
Brinax
Feeling that I was uncomfortable, Kristoff went on to attempt to make sure I understood. I reached out to console Ohema, but Kristoff held on to my hand.
"Father, Alpha Denver, Moonshadow Pack people...," Kristoff began addressing the assembly. "I am come to say that I have discovered my soul mate." Then he turned to face me, grinning. "Rosenberg, Brina."
"No," Ohema said, not trusting a word she heard. "Is Brina your partner?"
"Yes," Kristoff said with a smile. Kristoff grinned and firmly looked at me as he continued, "Ary is the other half of my soul and the woman am prepBrinang to marty with."
"Nah! That is not possible! Your wife should have been me, not her! She does not love you, hence she does not deserve to be your partner." Ohema lost her mind. To no avail, our father attempted to calm her down. I observed a few of Kristoff's soldiers become alert, but Kristoff signalled for them to cease.
My stepsister was crying in desperation, and it hurt my heart.
With a hateful expression on her face, she said, "You traitor! I would not have regarded you as my best friend if I had known this would occur. I detest you so much!"
"Please, Ohema. Allow me to clBrinafy.
"What exactly are you trying to explain? That you misrepresented your desire to have Jarl Kristoff for yourself? I should have known that you too thought well of him! I could have comprehended. However, no! You decided to deceive me. Brina, you played me. You thought I was foolish. You say you enjoyed it? Did you have fun when we played?"
"That is enough, Ohema!"No, Papa! I am not going to stop! I refuse to let this low-class w***e to do this.
The next thing we knew, a tremendous boom reverberated throughout the room as our father's palm touched Ohema's face. Rushing to her daughter's side was Aunt Gwen. Ohema stopped talking altogether. Rather, she turned to face me and said, "I do not have a sister anymore.
Ohema covered her face with her hands and fled at that point. Aunt Gwen glared at me before hurriedly following her.
I was unable to move, even though I wanted to stop Ohema and give her my explanation. She suffered because I was a bad sister to her. I was responsible for harming the person I had promised to keep safe.
In embarrassment, I bent my head. I was too scared of my father's response to even look at him. He must have been fat to see Ohema looking that way. I could not hold it against him. After a moment, everyone fell silent, taken aback by everything that had transpired.
On behalf of my sister, my dad expressed regret. The news of his son's mateship with me seems to have taken precedence over the moonwolf's fury.
When the moonwolf got close to me and others started to swarm around us, I lowered my head in respect.
He said, "Face me, sweet one." J lifted my head slowly. Greetings from the family.
I had never seen moonwolf smile like that before. He started congratulating us since he was so happy to hear the news. moonwolf was making fun of Dad while he wiped away his tears.
"My little Brina is all grown up," he said, reaching out to give me a hug. For a brief period, Kristoff released my hand, giving us the opportunity. "I am so glad you have found your true love at last."
I said, "Thanks, Dad," and then everyone flocked to us to express their congratulations. The level of support I received was overwhelming.
That concluded things. I am ecstatic that my mate and I have officially become engaged.
"I apologise for not being able to accompany you to Ironflame with me.
glanced at the man as he said those regretful words. As we sat there in the moonlight, we gazed up at the heavenly diamonds sparkling in the night sky. He was looking up with his eyes closed. The sound of the evening breeze and my heart's unexpected pounding were all that was audible to me.
moonwolf, he, and the other Ironflame delegates would return to their homeland first thing tomorrow morning—without me.
I was an ordinary unmated she wolf a few hours ago, full of hope, longing, and prayer. Our revered goddess herself had created a divine calling that went beyond simply trying to satiate our bodily desires when it came to seeking our husband. I assumed that once I located him, everything would go without a hitch. However, it was incorrect. The moon deity granted me an alpha partner for the future without my request.
Nothing on this list was scheduled. My sister's infatuation with a wolf was not something I planned to mate with. This is not my destiny that I chose. It was the moon goddess.
However, I was prepared to accept this as my fate.
Since being with him was all that mattered to me at this point.
to be with my partner.
I tenderly clasped his hands. I allowed him to experience my warmth, love, and comprehension. Maybe it was still difficult to tell if my feelings for him were genuine or not. It goes beyond the reality that we hardly knew one another and were strangers.
