Arthur covered his shoulder and got up from the ground. He coldly looked at Bernie who was covering his eyes and screaming. Blood kept flowing from between Bernie's fingers.
"That child actually won!" All the mercenaries in the bar were stunned with expressions of seeing a ghost.
It seemed as if time had stopped for a few seconds before the mercenaries gradually reacted. Two mercenaries from "Bloodthorn" rushed over and hugged Bernie to check his injuries.
"Don't care about him. Useless! He's just a useless person!" Tristy screamed furiously.
Mercenaries value reputation the most. No matter how angry Tristy was, the mercenaries of Bloodthorn couldn't abandon Bernie in front of so many people. Two mercenaries had already quickly carried Bernie out of the bar to find a healing magician as soon as possible. Bernie's eyes might still be saved.
The eyes of everyone in the bar were on Tristy. Humiliated and embarrassed, Tristy wished he could find a crack in the ground and crawl in under the watchful eyes of everyone.
"Let's go!" Tristy couldn't stay in the Nightingale Bar for a moment longer.
"Vice-Captain Tristy, you might have forgotten something?" Edeline, Tony, and others blocked in front of Tristy.
"You've already won. Don't go too far!" Tristy stared at Edeline with angry eyes. His hand holding the sword trembled slightly.
"The child's trophy. You're not going to renege, are you?" Edeline waved the staff in her hand in front of Tristy.
Tristy turned around and looked at Arthur. "Do you really want this sword?"
Tristy's voice was cold and his gaze was sharp, full of a strong threat.
Arthur's left shoulder had obviously deformed. Blood was seeping out from inside his clothes, but he didn't make a sound. Instead, he forced a smile on his face. "Of course. It's my trophy."
"Fine, here you are!" Tristy suddenly threw the sword at Arthur.
No one expected Tristy to suddenly make a move. The long sword, wrapped in battle aura, spun rapidly and flew towards Arthur. No one could stop it in time.
"You're despicable!"
Edeline raised her staff. Magic elements quickly gathered. Tony, Angers, and the mercenaries of the Blue Rose all drew their weapons.
No one thought Arthur could dodge Tristy's sudden attack. A common bar brawl would immediately turn into a fight between two major mercenary groups.
But Arthur seemed to have expected Tristy's attack long ago. He fell straight back like a corpse. The sword flew past his face.
The long sword hit the wall of the bar heavily and bounced back. On the way back, it also smashed a huge wine vat on the ground, showing how powerful it was.
Seeing that the sneak attack had failed, Tristy snorted. "Edeline, the humiliation that the Blue Rose brought me today, I, Tristy, will definitely repay it double sooner or later!"
Edeline pursed her lips and showed an indifferent expression. Since Arthur was fine, there was no need for her to continue fighting with Tristy. So she put away her staff and stepped aside.
"Let's go!" Tristy was about to lead people and leave here immediately.
"Wait." Another voice sounded.
Tristy, who had just lifted his foot, stopped and slowly turned around.
"Vice-Captain Tristy, you might have forgotten something else?" Nightingale was looking at Tristy with a smile while hugging her shoulders.
Tristy didn't say anything. He directly took out a gold coin and threw it to Nightingale. Then he turned and left.
Nightingale didn't catch it. The gold coin fell to the ground with a crisp sound.
"Not enough. Ten gold coins."
Tristy, who had just turned around, staggered and almost fell. "What? You're extorting! Are these few tables worth ten gold coins?"
Nightingale sneered at Tristy. "The few tables broken by Bernie aren't worth much. But don't you count the jar of wine you broke in my store?"
"Is a jar of wine worth ten gold coins?"
Nightingale pointed to the wine that had already flowed all over the ground and said, "The one you broke is the best jar of golden juniper wine in my store. If you don't believe me, Captain Tristy can taste it on the ground."
Tristy gritted his teeth so hard that they made a creaking sound. He knew that Nightingale was taking the opportunity to extort, but he couldn't bear to lose face and taste the quality of the wine on the ground.
"Isn't it just ten gold coins? I, Tristy, can afford to pay!"
"No, now it's twelve gold coins! The two extra gold coins that just came up are compensation for your insult to me. You can ask these mercenaries. When has Nightingale ever extorted others?"
"That's right. Sister Nightingale is the most honest!"
"Yes, Sister Nightingale has never deceived anyone!"
The surrounding mercenaries were happy to watch the excitement and all stood on Nightingale's side.
Tristy was extremely aggrieved, but he had to swallow his anger. Although he was the vice-captain of "Bloodthorn", he couldn't afford to provoke this woman Nightingale.
He emptied his own and the money pouches of the mercenaries who came with him before barely gathering twelve gold coins. Tristy fled from the Nightingale Bar in a sorry state.
Tony held Tristy's long sword and came to Arthur with a smile. "Kid, you did very well! From today on, you are a member of the Blue Rose. In the future, if there's anything, Big Brother Tony will protect you!"
Arthur just nodded slightly. His face was pale and his forehead was already covered in sweat.
"Get out of the way. Can't you see this child is injured?" Nightingale's obese body pushed Tony aside.
Nightingale skillfully opened Arthur's** and pinched Arthur's shoulder with her big hands.
As Nightingale moved, sweat dripped down Arthur's forehead. He closed his eyes and frowned tightly but didn't make a sound.
A scented handkerchief gently wiped the sweat from his head and face.
Arthur opened his eyes and saw Edeline's face close at hand and her encouraging gaze.
Suddenly, Arthur felt a coolness on his shoulder. The pain immediately lessened.
Nightingale was evenly spreading a black ointment on his left shoulder. Then she wrapped his left shoulder layer by layer with white gauze.
"The bone inside is already cracked. Don't move around these days. If you find a healing magician, it will recover faster." Nightingale turned to Edeline and said.
"Thank you, Sister Nightingale."
"Keynes has found a treasure this time. This kid is a born mercenary." Nightingale said and patted Arthur's face again.
Arthur lowered his head in embarrassment, a shy smile on his face.
"Kid, it's yours now." Tony handed the sword over again. "Do you know? This rare-enchanted long sword is worth at least 300 gold coins. Tristy saved up his pay for a whole year for it." Tony's tone was full of envy and even jealousy.
Arthur took it with one hand and didn't even look at it before directly giving it to Edeline. "Teacher, can I give you this sword?"
Edeline was stunned. "Why?"
"It's too valuable. I'm not qualified to own it and I can't protect it."
The surrounding mercenaries were in an uproar. Did such a young child already understand the principle that "a gentleman is innocent but owning a precious object can bring trouble"?
"No, I'm asking why you called me teacher just now?"
"Didn't Aunt Nightingale just say that I am your magic apprentice?" Arthur had a sly smile on his face.
