“Hey Alice, ”
“Hey my beautiful lovely genius who went into hiding” Alice understood her friend had been through alot and wants to encourage her.
Eva had completed the design even though it took her 2 days to finish and sent it over to Alice just the day before. She has some rough edges from not working on a design for a period of 4 years.
“How is it going Alice?”
“Well, everything is going well and great after I saw your email. I was shocked when I saw the design, it was amazing and of course I remember the project we worked on together.”
“Oh, great! I was about to mention it, I found it in the attic and I thought of you. It was our last design together.”
“Well, I was blown away and trust me you would not believe this. My boss saw me display the project on my big screen in the office and he fell in love immediately.”
“Oh really, it is not really one of my best work anymore. I mean it took me 3 days to complete a project that is half way done.”
“I have an offer for you, 2 actually. My firm wants you to come work for them as the senior architectural designer Eva.”
“What?! Alice last time I checked I didn't apply.”
“I know but my boss saw a glimpse of the museum design you sent and he proposed the offer saying he needs talent like this. I mean he asked me to convince you to join the company by all means possible and necessary.”
“Well, Alice you know fully well I cannot work for a firm whose goals don't align with my interest and will not let me use my talents without shoving authority nonsense down my throat” Eva smiled a little surprised at her response she sounds more like her old self again.
“Which is why i have brought you a second offer”. Alice knew Eva well as she sounded confident she will buy the second offer.
“ Okay, what is this second offer?” Eva was now curious. Her daily task could be to become the great architect she was and become much more, but she is not so sure she is ready for that yet.
“Let's create our own firm” Alice knew Eva could be dismissive; she had to make her see reasons before dismissing the idea. “Did you just say start our own firm?, I mean do you know what it takes to.”
“Before you say anything we have the funds, we have the brains and darling we have the connection.
We can create, build and design anything for anyone and it is time people know that”.
“It has been so long since I made anything Alice, it took me 3 days to complete a project that should not take me up to 5 hours when i was myself”.
“But you made something beautiful from the old design you found in the attic. I mean my firm right now do not have an opening but they are willing to make one for you because of your talent sis.”
“I do not think I have what it takes Alice. I am just trying to recover from the huge hit and blow to my heart, i have not designed anything in the last 4 years or so. I mean to be an architect who designs imaginable things has to come from the heart. And mine right now is shattered.”
“Yes you do, darling, you have everything it takes. It is time to reclaim the throne, I have a lot of ideas in place for us to start, I just need your approval.”
“I am not certain Alice, where would we start from?” “ Will start small and build our way up. I mean it will take time but we can do it. I have a personal client to help us get started, it is just a small 5 bedroom house. We can use that to warm up ourselves for the national projects we normally compete in.”
“Eva, trust me when i say this is what we need to do to make our name known, we are our own authority, we design and take what we are comfortable with, we are the badass architect designers baby.”
After giving it a few thoughts Eva agreed to the offer, what else could go wrong, a surge of energy ran down her spine. A rekindled feeling so strange and familiar speaks to her.
“It is time I reclaim my throne, it is time to take back what is mine, it is time I destroyed the one who destroyed me ” referring to Carter.
“You are going to pay for using me and dumping me like I was a piece of paper. I will use my company to ruin yours and make a name for myself, build connections and also hurt you without touching you. JUST WAIT AND SEE!!!”
