*it had been three days since Emily began her training with Eleanor. Emily woke up later than usual that morning, the fact that she did not have to urgently get up and prepare to leave the pack house startled her at first. For three days straight, she had been training highly, her body was already really exhausted. She rose early, trained until her limbs shook and she got headaches. Return sore and drained. Sleep fitfully. Repeat. When she realized there would be nothing to do that day, no pressure humming under her skin, she let out a slow breath she hadn’t known she was holding. Eleanor had been brief and unyielding as always. “Don’t come tomorrow, I have matters to attend to,” she had said the night before. “Consider it a rest day.” Emily had nodded quickly, hiding her relief
