Chapter Three: We Meet Again

Freen POV

I prepared all the documents in my office and gave them to my secretary. I told her to send all of it to my dad's office before I left. I work in my dad's company. I'm planning to build my own company but maybe it's not the right time especially now that dad needs my help in running Chankimha's group since my brother Saint is in his month long honeymoon.

Saint got married month ago. he and his wife are now in London for their honeymoon. I saw how Saint cried when they finally tied the knot. I envied him. He has the love of his life.

I wish I find the same love that Saint have. But for now, I make myself busy with some other stuff.

I have two restaurant and it's enough for now. maybe in the near future I add two or three more.

Nam called earlier and asked me if I could drive her home since she was at the meeting with the RA company's CEO. She can't drive and Kirk -her boyfriend - is still on an out of town trip so I am the only one she can rely for now. She already sent me the location where will I pick her up.

I can't say no to Nam and also don't want to. she's the only friend that I have. So I left the office earlier than usual.

I called and told her that I was on my way to fetch her.

"Hey babe ! give me thirty minutes." I told her.

"Take your time babe. I just wait for you at the lobby."

"Do you want something to eat ? I'm hungry, I've been in the office all day. I do not have time to eat." I'm planning to stop in my restaurant after I fetch her, so I made a reservation for us.

"Aww ! my baby is hungry" she teases me. "Are you asking me for a date babe?" she ask.

"Yes, but you treat me this time" I said while laughing.

I heard her laugh on the other line. "No problem babe. anything you like."

"okay then, I'll call you when I get there." I said

"take care okay, I know you are a great driver but please babe, don't drive too fast and come here safe and sound."

"Yes your majesty." I said while laughing before I ended the call.

Becky POV

I saw the CEO of OPSC in the lobby. Our meeting is done and everything finishes smoothly. we talked and agreed on every plan that both parties suggested. I was about to approach her when someone came and hugged her from behind. She took the folder in Ms. Nam's hand and said something that I couldn't hear.

Freen. My Freen

Why is she with the OPSC owner? is she the one that Ms. Nam calling earlier ? Are they together ?

I saw them talking and laughing at the same time. Freen looks happy with her. maybe she already forgot about me. maybe, she's already moved on from me.

I'm hurt. Really hurt. But what should I do? it's all my fault after all. My eyes become watery. I blink several times to stop my tears from falling.

I was about to walk away when I heard Kade calling my name from behind.

"Becky ! I've been looking for you for almost an hour and your just here ?" she said with annoyance "I also tried to call you but your secretary says that you left your phone in the office." She followed my gaze and I heard her gasps of what she saw.

Kade caught Ms. Nam's attention. She waved her hand at us, then said something to Freen. I saw Freen nod before they walk towards us hand in hand. I'm not yet ready to face her now.

I mentally cursed Kade.

"s**t ! I'm sorry Becky, I didn't know that Ms. Nam is with her." she said. Kade knows everything about me and Freen. She knows our failed marriage and everything.

I just smirk at her

"Ms. Rebecca." I heard Nam called me.

I looked at them and I saw Nam with her.



The woman who has been a part of my life before.

The woman who left me because I pushed her to do so.

She's looking at me intently. I can't see any emotion in her eyes.

"Becky." Kade nudge me a little.

"Y-Yes Ms. Nam ?"

"I don't know that you're still here Ms. Rebecca" she said "but it's a blessing in disguise because I forgot to give you the list of the furniture that we might need first."

she looked at her and took the folder she's been holding. "can I have this for a while babe ? I need to give something to Rebecca."

She smiled and gave the folder.

Ms. Nam handed me the list of furniture that they needed. But I can't move my hand. I just stared at the girl standing next to her. She doesn't change at all. Still the Freen three years ago. She's still beautiful, but I notice that her smile can't meet her eyes, not like before.

When Kade saw that I didn't have a plan to take the folder with Ms. Nam, she took it from her.

"Thank you Ms.Nam" Kade said.

Nam suddenly snaps "oh ! I almost forgot to introduce you both." Nam said and looked at Freen.

"It's ok babe, we already know each other" she smiles but her eyes stay blank. No emotion at all. "right Ms. Armstrong?"

I don't know how to react. I miss her so much. I want to hug her and tell her that I'm a big i***t of letting her go. I want to tell her that I finally realized how much I love her.

But I think it's too late. She's now with someone else.

"How did you know her babe? Why didn't you tell me that you know the owner of the RA company ?" Nam said.

"I didn't tell you because i thought it was not a big deal. besides, It's your business babe."

Ms. Nam nodded. "I assume you also know Kade ? she's the co-owner of RA." Nam ask her

"Yeah , I know her too." she offers a hand shake with Kade "nice to see you again Kade."

Kade accepts her hand and smiles. "It's been three years since I last saw you Freen."

I'm just staring at them. I don't know if I can say anything without crying.

"yes , such a long time but you do not change at all. still the gorgeous Kade that I know." she said to Kade.

"and you're still the Freen who always loves to compliment me." Kade laugh.

She turned her gaze at me "I'm happy to see you again Ms. Armstrong." she offered me her hand.

Ms. Armstrong. where is the endearment she used to address me before ?

I took her hand and I can feel the electricity all over my body. it's the same feeling when we first kiss on our wedding day. The same feeling that I always ignore before.

"S-same here F-Freen" I said stuttering. She's still holding my hand when we heard Nam said something.

"We should go now babe, you said you made a reservation at seven" she looked at her wrist watch to check the time "it's almost seven already."

She let go of my hand. "Bye Kade and to you Ms. Armstrong." she said "we need to go now."

"it's nice to finally saw you again Freen. maybe some other time we can catch up." Kade said.

"yeah, maybe." she wink at Kade before she held Ms. Nam to waist and started walking.

I saw Ms. Nam whisper something to her and she pout.

I wish I was the one who held her hand. the one who made her smile.

The tears I'm holding for a long time started to flow.

Kade hug me. She doesn't say anything. she just comforted me.
