Chapter Thirteen
WINNIE WALKED TOWARD the bonfire, still not sure what to do with what Ezra told her at her cabin earlier. She had heard shifters chose their spouses in weird ways, but never imagined it would be because of the animal inside of them. She wanted to talk to him about it, explain more about her actions, that she didn’t want to do what the others were forcing her do, but by the time she reached the bonfire, she noticed Ezra walking off with some of the others. None of them looked happy.
