Chapter Three WINNIE STEPPED INTO the cabin thinking the place a little too quaint for her tastes. Why Deran insisted on this community for whatever scheme he had in mind was beyond her. It was funny that he wasn’t staying there, as well. She wasn’t even sure if the residents of Bull Creek would fall for his plan, giving him the information he needed, whatever that was. He hadn’t shared much with her, so she wasn’t even sure what information they were supposed to be gathering. When it was all said and done, it could very well prove to be a wasted trip.
