*Caspian*
I raced up the stairs as Kalama’s fear had turned to an intense heat. I smelled smoke as I kicked opened the door. Julie stood with Miley behind her, and little Grace cradled in her arms, protecting them from a figure shrouded in flame. My heart dropped when I realized that figure was Kalama. I grabbed Julie and Miley by the back of their shirts, all but throwing them back into the hall. “Get everyone out.” I yelled, not knowing if the house would go up in flames with my mate. Kalama ran to the bathroom, yanking the door open so hard it bounced off the wall and closed behind her. I gripped the knob, yelling out in pain as it burnt me. I looked at my hand, cursing as blisters formed. I heard the shower come on and the heat I felt began to subside. Wasting no more time, I kicked the bathroom door open. The force busted the hinges and the lock, sending the door flying, hitting the toilet. I looked at my mate, concern and fear clamped around my heart. Kalama sat on the shower floor, huddled in a ball. The water ran down on her extinguishing the flames and drenching her clothes. Not caring about my clothing, I climbed in next to her, holding back a yelp as the freezing water hit me, and wrapped my arms around her. She pulled away, fear in her flaming eyes. “No, get away. I don’t want to hurt you too.” I hushed her, pulling her onto my lap. She was still warm to the touch, but the cold water had taken most of the burn away.
“It’s okay Love. The flames are gone.” She looked up at me tears spilling over, mixing with the cold water from the shower. Her body began shaking with sobs and she buried her face into my chest. I held onto her, gently rocking her back and forth, hushing in her ear and kissing her head. We sat like that until her sobs stopped and her skin was cold. Shivering a little, I placed her back on the shower floor and getting up to get a towel and quickly mind-linked Neal. “Have an Omega start a fire in my room, quickly and bring Kalama fresh clothes.”
“Sure thing, Boss.” I looked Kalama. She shook from the cold, her lips a bright blue. Setting the towel down, I held my hand out to her. She looked it, then back at me, the fear still evident in her eyes. I was confused, the flames were gone, why was she still afraid?
“She expects punishment.” Bay answered. My heart saddened. I did not want her to fear me.
“It’s okay, Love. You’re not in trouble. I just want to get you out of those wet clothes.” She didn’t say anything, deciding whether I was lying or not. After a moment, she took my hand, allowing me to pull her to her feet. I heard the bedroom door open. Fear sparked in her eyes. “It’s okay. I just had someone bring some fresh clothes for you.” She relaxed as the door closed again. “Alright, arms up.” Shivering, she obeyed. I peeled the shirt off her, enjoying the sparks that ignited as my fingers brushed against her bare skin. I tossed the shirt to the floor. The black bra she wore hit the floor next and I couldn’t hold back the growl as my erection rubbed against the zipper of my jeans. Her skin glistened and her hard n*****s seemed to beg for my attention. I let my hands travel down her back, enjoying how her heartrate speed up at my touch. I gripped her waist, pulling her towards me, and brushed my lips against hers’. Her burning ember and cherry sent wrapped around me filling all my senses. She shivered, resting her head on my chest.
“Are Julie and the girls, okay? I didn’t hurt them?” I wrapped my arms tighter around her.
“No, Love. You didn’t hurt them.”
*Kalama*
I buried my face into Caspian’s chest, inhaling his fresh rain sent. His hands roamed over my body. Sparks ignited wherever his touched, warming my cold skin. I could smell his arousal and matched it with my own. I wanted to feel his skin against my own. To touch and taste every inch of him. A growl rumbled in his chest and I knew he wanted to do the same to me. Without really thinking, I pulled away, tugging his shirt up and over his head, throwing it over my head. Not caring where it landed, I stretched onto my tippytoes, catching his lips with mine, before taking it down his neck and across his broad chest. He groaned in response. I lowered myself onto my knees, trailing kisses, and my tongue all the way down. He tasted how I imagined the ocean breeze would. His fingers tangled in my hair and I let out my own groan. I began fumbling with the button on his jeans, but just before I could completely release him, he stopped me, pulling me back to my feet. I gazed into his dark blue eyes, confused.
“I thought…” Caspian placed a gentle hand on my cheek, grazing the corner of my mouth with his thumb, before placing a soft kiss on my lips.
“It’s okay, Love.” I placed my hands on his chest, trying to hide my hurt.
“But I…” He hushed me, placing his thumb on my lips.
“I know you do. But you also need time. Whoever he was, Evan hurt you in many ways. I hope that someday soon you’ll be able to tell me what exactly he did. As for now it’ll happen when the time is right.” I couldn’t help the tears that weld up. Evan was right. I would never be able to be with another. I belonged to Evan. Suddenly, the grip Caspian had on me tightened and an angry growl erupted from his throat. I looked up to find the dark blue eyes of Caspian’s wolf. I sucked in a breath. Ash purred in my head. She wanted her mate. Before I could respond, Caspian’s wolf growled again, his grip on me getting tighter. I winced in pain.
“Please, bring Caspian back. You’re… you’re hurting me.”
“You belong to me.” He yelled. “Do you understand me?” I felt Ash rush forward, pushing me back. She was coming to my defense again, just like with Evan. I was sure the grip the wolf had on me would bruise. I delved deep into our mind, thankful that Ash was there. Besides, her taking care of Caspian’s wolf allowed me time to think.
*Ash*
I had made a promise to myself that horrid night we escaped, that no one, mate or not, would ever hurt my Kalama again. I could feel the pain the black wolf had put on her, heard him screaming in her face. I came rushing forward, pushing Kalama to the side, something she was thankful for. “Let go.” My voice was firm, commanding. The wolf’s grip loosened, shock flashing across his face before he could hide it. I had shaken him. Good. I thought. He may be the Alpha, but I was the Luna and like him I would demand respect, from everyone, including him. Recovered from his initial shock,
“My pet. Come to save your human?” I growled, deep and low. I will not be taken lightly. I stepped closer, jabbing a finger into his chest. “You will not hurt her. She has suffered far more than you know. I will not have you putting her through anymore.” I shoved him, challenging him. He growled.
“She is driving Caspian nuts and in turn me. Tell me, Pet. Does she do this with all her men?” Growling, I lunged for him. He caught me, tossing me over his head with little effort. I landed with a thump on the tile floor. Dazed and more than a little turned on. I heard the snapping of bone. The wolf had fully shift and yet again I was amazed at how beautiful he was. I wasted no time, shifted also. The bathroom was now smaller with two fully grown werewolves in it. I saw his intentions in his eyes and I planned to delve into those intentions with just as much vigor.
*Kalama*
I wasn’t sure how long Ash kept me back. I had watched until they both had shift shape. I knew what would happen. I didn’t need the details. Ash soon returned, “Go, but be careful. The fire took a lot out of you. Without me in control, you may not be able to stay awake.” I nodded, taking control. Ash was right, I managed to look into the dark blue eyes of Caspian and then everything went black.
I awoke sometime later. The room was dark, except for the little bit of moonlight creeping in from the windows. Caspian slept next to me, his breathing slow and steady. His arm draped over my hip, sending sparks up to my head and down to my toes. I looked at the clock: 4am. I shifted, rolling over to face my mate, only to realize he was awake. I snuggled closer, inhaling his fresh rainfall sent. His arms tightened around me. “I’m sorry.” I whispered. “I didn’t mean to wake you.” His body shuddered and I suddenly felt the worry and extreme relief. “Caspian? What’s wrong?” He buried his face into my neck, inhaling. I felt him relax and then looked at me. Even in the dark I could see the dark blue color of his eyes. The concern in their depths had my heart racing. I placed my hands on either side of his face. Leaning into my touch,
“I was so worried, and Bay felt like it was his fault.” He kissed my palm. I was missing something. I tried to remember what had happened before the blackness took me, but to no avail.
“What Caspian?”
“You’ve been asleep for two weeks.” Shocked filled me. Two weeks?
“Yes, two weeks. Caspian has spent every day by your side. He refused to allow anyone in the room, expect Dr. Barker, after some…coaxing, from me.” Ash said. I did not like the way she said the word, coaxing and I was sure that it had involved pain. Ash smirked, “What was I suppose to do? Allow him to starve us, while he wasted away in grief? You weren’t dead and I told him as much.” She then went dormant. Then, something finally clicked inside my head. Caspian was my mate, the way a mate was suppose to be. He wasn’t like Evan, would never be like Evan. I truly was safe with him. Perhaps it was time to let Evan go. I heard Ash grumble. I wasn’t entirely sure what she said, but I was sure it had some curse words mixed in. I smiled, pushing away all the hurt Evan had put upon me. It didn’t matter anymore. I felt lighter almost and suddenly very aware of the sparks that creeped up my skin from Caspian’s hand on my back. He needed to know how much I loved him. How much he drove me crazy with just the simplest touch.
My hands still on either side of his face, I kissed him, lightly. Grinning and placing my hands on his already bare chest, I rolled him onto his back, straddling him. Surprise flashed in the depths of his blue eyes, adding to my already wetness. “I’m sorry, Cas. I didn’t mean to worry you.” I said, before kissing him again. I traced his bottom lip with my tongue. He groaned, answering with his own. I tasted and teased his tongue and mouth until we both gasp for air. I kissed his jaw line, down to his neck, stopping at the soft skin between his neck and shoulder. The spot that would hold my mark. I played with the spot, teasing it with my teeth and tongue. He growled, yanking the shirt I wore up and over my head, to touch the bare skin underneath. Sparks ignited and I groaned. Using my tongue, I slowly drifted down his broad chest to his toned abs and pant line, where his hardened length stood, waiting for my attention. He lifted himself off the bed, allowing me to slowly slide his shorts and boxers off. With the tip of my fingers, I lightly stroked the head of his length, before closing my hand around his full grith and lightly squeezing. He groaned again. Before I could take him in my mouth, he sat up, gripping my arms and pulling me to him.
“Stop, Love. You don’t have to.” His eyes were full of concern. I placed a finger on his lips, hushing him.
“I know. I want to.” I whispered, pushing him back into the bed. I took his length in my hand once more, tracing the head with my tongue, before taking him fully in my mouth. He moaned, tangling his hands in my hair as I sucked and teased. As I sucked, my hands drifted over the rest of him. I felt his muscle contract as his climax drew closer and just before he went over the edge, I stopped, kissing and licking my way back up to his lips. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me flush with his body. Without breaking the kiss, he flipped us, so he was on top.
“Your turn, my Luna.” He said. I shivered with anticipation as his mouth glided down my neck. His fingers teased my n*****s, while his teeth and tongue teased the soft spot between my neck and shoulder, making me moan. He drifted lower, catching a n****e in his mouth, where he licked and nipped at it, before moving to the other one, causing another moan to escape my lips. His hand trailed across my stomach and down into my wetness. I couldn’t help but moan as his finger made circles over my c**t. He kissed and licked his way down, just as I had done him, leaving no part untouched, all the while his finger doing circles. I closed my eyes, sinking into the bed. Nothing mattered. The room didn’t exist. It was just him and I. I took in a sharp breath, as I felt his tongue. I clenched at the bed sheets, as he tasted and sucked on me. Pressure began to build. He held onto my hips as I grinded against his face, willing his tongue to go deeper, and just when I thought I would have to beg, the pressure spilled over, making me see stars. He licked me clean, before slowly making his way back up. “Did my Love enjoy that?” he asked.
“Yes.” I breathed, still reeling from the aftershocks of my orgasm. He smiled,
“Would she like more?” I nodded,
“Please.” Without saying anything, he caught my lips with his. His tongue dancing against mine. His length played with my opening, entering just a little. He waited for me to adjust to his size, before plunging the rest in. I groaned, the pressure already starting to build back up. My hands roamed his well-muscled back and tangled in his hair. He moaned with me as our movements became faster. He nuzzled my soft spot, licking it with the tip of his tongue, before piercing it with his elongated canines. I yelled his name as the newly build pressure spilled over, giving me release. I felt blood well, before he licked it away, sealing it. Still riding my orgasm, I tilted his head to the side, giving me better access to his soft spot. I licked it, grazing it with my teeth, he groaned, his movements becoming more desperate. I bit down on the spot just as he found his release. I felt his warm seed spill into me as he continued to grind against me, making sure he got all of it out. I licked the blood from his spot, sealing it. He collapsed beside me, wrapping his arms around me and kissing me lightly on the lips. I looked into his dark blue eyes, finding nothing but love in their depths. “I love you.” I said, meaning every word. He pulled me closer.
“I love you too.” He said and I knew without a doubt, that he meant every word. I nuzzled into his neck, breathing in his fresh, rainfall scent, slowly drifting off to sleep.

I woke late the next morning. Kalama slept next to me, her head rested on my shoulder, with her arm slung across my chest. Sparks danced along my skin and the events of last night came flooding back. I grinned, remembering how my mate felt, how she tasted. I’d spent the last two weeks doing nothing but worry as she slept, almost coma-like. I had to have a hand on her at all times, just to make sure she still breathed, although I would have known the moment she stopped. Then she just, woke up, as though it just been another night. “And what a wonderful night it had turned out to be.” Bay purred. I chuckled to myself.
“It’s like she woke up a whole different person. Like the hurt is completely gone.”
“Oh, no it’s still there. Her wolf, Ash…” he purred her name. “Told me everything they endured while in Evan’s clutches.” I growled at the name.
“Did she tell you where he is?”
“Yes.”
“Where?”
“I can’t tell you. It’s up to your mate.” I growled again, my skin heating with my anger. Kalama groaned, sensing my anger. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. I nuzzled into her neck, inhaling her burning ember and cherry scent, feeling more relaxed. I trailed kisses along her neck, across her cheek, and lips. She moaned, moving closer to me. Her fingers danced up and down my back, sending sparks across my skin. I smiled, brushing her flaming, red locks away from her face.
“Good morning, Beautiful.”
*Kalama*
I felt his anger, it burned through me. I groaned, Is it because of me? I felt him nuzzle my neck, taking a deep breath. His anger dissipated. His lips trailed up neck and across my cheek, before catching my lips. I moaned, scooting closer as sparks danced across my skin. I trailed my fingers along his back, enjoying the way his muscle contracted under my touch. He brushed a piece of my hair away from my face. “Good morning, Beautiful.” He said. I mumbled,
“No,” burying my face into his chest. He chuckled, making his chest rumble in my ears. I growled, my wetness dripping down my leg. He laughed again, shifting so he was on top of me.
“Later, Love. The Pack is waiting to see us.” Just then, a knock sounded at the door. I groaned my complaint. Laughing again, he called, “We’ll be down in a minute.” I listened as the footsteps walked away. Caspian pulled the covers back, pulling me up with him. “Come on, let’s go get you cleaned up.” Grumbling, I walked to the bathroom, Caspian behind me. I stopped in surprised, making Caspian bump into me. The bathroom had been completely redone, except for the mirror over the sink. I looked at Caspian, who arched an eyebrow. “Ash and Bay had a rather heated conversation that night you…”
“Brust into flames.” I thought. I shivered, remembering the look on his face when he saw me and the fear in Julie’s and her pups’ eyes. Caspian wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close.
“Don’t worry, Love. Julie and the pups are fine. We’ll figure this out, I promise.” I nodded, turning my head so I could brush his lips with mine. He sighed, “Now go wash up. I’m going to go see about getting you some clothes.” I nodded, enjoying the view as he walked away, closing the door behind him. I turned on the hot water and stepped under the spray, sighing as the hot water relaxed my muscles. A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door, as an Omega came in, setting fresh clothes on the sink, before silently leaving. I finished washing and dried off. I slipped on the dark grey sweatpants and white tank top, throwing the towel in the hamper, and walked back out into the bedroom. Caspian wasn’t there, so I went into the hall. The smell of food hit my nostrils, making my mouth water. I followed the smell down to the kitchen, where voices resonated from, one was Caspian. I rounded the corner, walking into the kitchen where Caspian stood talking to three others. Sensing my arrival, he turned, smiling when he saw me. “And here she is.” He said, holding a hand out to me. I took it, smiling, letting him pull me to him, his arm resting around my waist. I looked at the others. Julie stood next to a man, who stood taller than Caspian. His long, brown hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail and his dark brown eyes reminded me of Miley’s. “Kalama, this is my Beta, John.” Caspian said, pointing to the man. John smiled,
“Hello, Luna. It’s great to finally meet you.” I smiled back at him.
“It’s nice to meet you too.” I said, shaking his hand.
“And this is my Gamma, Neal.” I smiled at Neal. His blonde hair was cut short and his grey eyes twinkled. He was shorter than John and Caspian, but he held himself with confidence.
“Good to see you up and about, Luna.”
“Good to be up.” I said. I looked at Julie, she had a smile on her lips. “Julie, I want to apologize for the scare I gave you and your pups.” Julie stepped forward, wrapping her arms around me in a hug. I froze for a second, before doing the same. When Julie broke the hug, her smile twinkled in her eyes.
“All is forgiven, Luna. In fact, Miley is rather excited about her next play date with her Luna. If, of course, it’s okay with you.” I smiled, my heart fluttering a little.
“I would love too.” I said. My stomach rumbling, broke the moment, making Caspian laugh.
“Julie, why don’t you take her to the dining hall. Nani should be putting lunch out.” Julie smiled,
“Of course, Alpha.” Caspian squeezed my waist, catching my lips in a kiss that made me hot, before letting me follow Julie out of the room.
