Chapter Twelve

*Kalama*            “I don’t know what to do, Julie. They’re my parents, but they let me go through so much hurt.” Julie and I stood in the bathroom of my old bedroom. I took a sip of water, rinsing the taste of vomit from my mouth. I wasn’t sure if I should have told her what happened in the meeting with my parents, but she was the only person, other than, Caspian, I had as a friend, so I’d told her everything. We’d sat in silence for a moment.            “I can’t pretend that I know how you feel. But, I know how it does feel to not speak to your parents. When John and I first realized we were mates, my father was furious. I was suppose to go to Caspian, after all, I’m of Alpha blood, why would I be destined for a Beta. All I knew was that I loved John and I wanted to be with him. My father didn’t come to our wedding, and we didn’t speak for a year. When we found out we were expecting Miley, John convinced me to call him.”            “It all worked though.” Julie shrugged.            “I mean, we talk, and the girls love them, and they love the girls. Our relationship isn’t what it was before John, but I know I can go to them for anything.” I looked at the floor, still unsure. Julie wrapped an arm around my shoulders. “I know it doesn’t seem like it right now, but maybe they did the best they could with what they had.” All I could do was nodded.            “Kalama. Julie? Are you in here?” Caspian called.            “In here.” Julie yelled. She looked at me, “I’m sure you’ll figure something out with your parents, until then, you have the Alpha and Green Grove.” I smiled, sniffled and embraced her, before opening the door and stepping out of the bathroom. Caspian paced back and forth in front of my bed, mumbling to himself. Something had him upset. Julie touched my shoulder, “I’ll give you two some space. We can talk later.” She patted my arm and closed the door behind her.            “Cass? Are you okay?” Caspian spun around, wrapping me in a hug that took me off my feet. His fresh, rainfall scent and roses? I pushed him away from me, holding my head as I tried to control the fire that swirled inside me. “No. No. Not you. No, no, no. Not again.” I could hear Caspian trying to hush me, but his words were muffled, as flames roared in my head. I couldn’t breathe. Firm hands grabbed me, holding me still as I tried to rock back and forth.            “Love, you’ve to got calm down. You’re going to burn the whole place down.” Tears stung my eyes. “Kalama, look at me.” He gently held my face in his hands. I looked into his blue eyes. Eyes with depths that I could get lost in and just float. “Breathe, Love. Breathe.” I took a deep breath. “There you go, keep breathing, baby. Good. I know you can smell that she-wolf on me. Right?” All I could do was nod. “It’s not what you think. I asked her where I could find your room and she came on to me. I promise.” I wanted to believe him.            “His wolf says the same. He also had words with your father.” Ash whispered to me. I sank to the floor, unable to stop the falling tears. Caspian went with me, pulling me onto his lap and kissing the tears away.            “I’m sorry.” I whispered after a while. I felt him shake his head.            “You have no reason to be sorry, Love. I promised I would never let anyone hurt you and that includes myself.” He kissed my forehead and then my lips. *Caspian*            Kalama and I sat on the floor for a long time, her huddled in my lap. “I’m sorry.” she whispered.            “You have no reason to be sorry, Love. I promised I would never let anyone hurt you and that includes myself.” I told her, kissing her forehead and then her lips. I looked into her still wet eyes and I couldn’t help the sadness that surrounded my heart. She had gone through so much hurt and pain, not only as a woman, but as a pup, in her own pack and I had brought her back to it. “If anyone should be sorry, it is me.” She frowned, confused. “This is your pack, filled with people that are supposed to love and protect you, no matter what. But what you experienced, at the hands of your own family…” Kalama shook her head, placing a hand on my cheek.            “I have you. Green Grove is my family. I don’t need this pack when I have you and everyone at Green Grove.” Her lips met mine. I traced my tongue along her bottom lip, silently asking for access. Her lips parted and her tongue met mine in a dance that left us breathless. I cupped her butt, holding her close and stood. She wrapped her legs around my waist. I headed for the bed. She shook her head. “Nope.” she smiled and pointed to the door she and Julie had come out of. “You need to wash that smell off.” I grinned, carrying her through the door instead. I sat her down on sink. I could feel her eyes on me as I turned the shower on. Her gaze traveled up and down my body, making my length stiffen. I turned back to Kalama, catching her lips in mine, parting only to remove her shirt and bra. I paused, taking in the scars that lined her perfect skin, before trailing my mouth and tongue along one on her chest. She inhaled sharply, as I teased each scar. Her nails trailed down my back, hooking the end of my shirt with her fingers and pulling it over my head. Her mouth and tongue trailed down my neck and over her mark, making me groan. I felt her smile against my skin. I wrapped my arms around her, taking her off the sink, and onto her feet. I caught the waistband of her pants and pulled them off, placing her back onto the sink, before stepping away to take my own off. I stepped back between her legs, catching her lips. I broke the kiss, trailing my tongue down her neck to where my mark sat. I nipped at the mark, making her groan. I moved downward, catching a n****e in my mouth. She groaned again, pushing her chest out, as my tongue teased. I moved to the other n****e and then continued to trail down, tasting and teasing. I felt her shiver as my lips skimmed over her inner thigh. Her arousal seemed to surround me as my tongue glided over her wetness. Her fingers tangled in my hair, urging me to go further. I did, stopping only when I felt her climax was close. I stood, picking her up and stepping in the shower. The water hit her skin, making it shine. I let out a low growl, as she began to work her way down. Her mouth and tongue seemed to leave a trail of fire that left my skin hot. A loud groan escaped, as she took my hardened length in her mouth. I tangled my fingers in her dark red hair, my head falling back as she sucked and tasted. As my climax drew close, she pulled away, kissing her way back up my body. I picked her up, cupping her butt, and put her back against the tiled wall. Her legs wrapped around my waist, and I thrust into her. We both groaned, as I began to move. My movements were slow, but soon became faster, as the need for release became too great. I felt Kalama clench as her orgasm rushed over my length. She yelled my name, making my own orgasm break. We stood there for a moment. Her face nestled into the crook of my neck. Her scent mixed with the steam of the shower, surrounding me on all sides. I bent, kissing her on the head and sat her down. She smiled at me, kissing me lightly on the lips, and grabbed a bottle of soap. “Now, lets get you clean. I’m ready to go home.” I smiled, taking the bottle from her, mind-linking the others that we would leave in a hour. I washed Kalama first, massaging the soap into her scalping and her body. I watched as she rinsed the soap off and grabbed the bottle from my hand. “Now you.” *Kalama*            I stood at the foot of my old bed, a towel wrapped around me, peering into my near empty suitcase. I sighed. Caspian’s arms wrapped around my waist, his lips tickling the crook of my neck. “What’s wrong, Love?” I shook my head.            “Nothing really. I just don’t have anything to wear.” Caspian looked over my shoulder at the suitcase.            “Don’t worry, Love. That’s an easy fix.” I looked at him. He grinned but didn’t explain. I pulled out a worn pair of jeans and a faded grey t-shirt. Caspian watched as I pulled the clothes on. The jeans were looser than I would have liked and the shirt hung on my frame, nearly covering my butt. I looked at Caspian, who seemed to be deep in thought. I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck,            “What are you thinking, Cass?” His deep blue eyes met mine, his hands loosely hung onto my hips. He smiled, kissing me lightly on the forehead.            “I was thinking about what you said. Green Grove being your family.” I smiled,            “Yeah.”            “Why don’t we make it official?” I c****d my head at him, his grin widening. “Your Luna Ceremony. We should have done it sooner than now, but…” I cut him off with a kiss, unable to help the tears that filled my eyes.            “Yes, of course.” He smiled, kissing me sweetly. His face suddenly sobering.            “What about your parents.” I frowned.            “I’m not sure.” I said, remembering what Julie had said, but my heart seemed to crack as I remembered everything that had happened. Caspian kissed me again.            “It’s okay. You don’t have to decide right now. For now, maybe Julie can help.” I nodded. Just then, a knock sounded at the door. “Come in.” Caspian said. Jackson came in.            “We’re ready, Alpha.” Caspian nodded, looking at me. I smiled.            “Let’s go home.”
