I leave the bathroom feeling a determination that was sleeping in me, maybe it's the absurd amount of alcohol I consumed during the night.
A waiter passes by me, I grab a glass of champagne and walk towards the salon's balcony.
I sigh before taking a sip of my drink, looking out over the beach and listening to the sound of the waves.
My mind wanders in melancholy and depressive thoughts. The moon reflecting on the sea makes me feel a little peace in the midst of the chaos my mind is in.
I feel someone approaching, I look to the side and see a tall man wearing a dark blue suit. His black eyes stared at the sea, in his hand was a glass of whiskey.
His husky voice fills the space.
"It's a beautiful sight, don't you think?"
I smiled shyly.
— I've always liked beaches, especially on full moon nights. I think whoever built this restaurant made the perfect choice of location.
The man looks at me for a few seconds, his black hair blowing in the breeze and disheveled.
His hand ran over his straight strands and it made him look prettier.
He approaches the wall and picks a red rose from the small rosebush. His eyes stare at me and the brightness of the moon makes them seductive. The mysterious man hands me the rose and holds my hand kissing it without breaking eye contact.
— My name is Samuel, it's a pleasure to meet a young woman as beautiful as you.
My cheeks heat up and I feel butterflies in my stomach. I bite my lip in embarrassment and feel my skin crawl when his hand touches my wrist.
"May I know the name of this beautiful woman?"
His hoarse voice seemed to hypnotize me, I felt like my feet weren't touching the ground. I take the last sip of champagne and feel my mouth go dry with nervousness.
— My name is Brenda.
I stutter and feel like an i***t for it.
His face was hard to read, always neutral expressions and a seductive look. His well defined jaw made him attractive with his short beard, his voluminous and pink lips gave him a special touch.
Although the breeze was cold, I felt the heat through my body.
I think I watched his lips too long because now he was smirking. I look away at the party and see Priscila dancing as she kisses the mystery man. Smile to the side.
"It looks like your friend is having a great time." Want to take a walk along the beach and forget about this party for a while?
The eye and Samuel extended his hand with a very inviting smile. Thousands of things go through my head as soon as I hold your hand and feel the soft touch.
I must have been going crazy, I barely knew him!
Ícaro opens the small porch gate and we run down the stairs, my heels sink into the sand, without letting go of his hand, I take off my shoes and leave them on the stairs. We run towards the sea and he pulls me into the water.
- You're crazy! Let's get wet!
His laugh makes the mood light. Without any warning, he picks me up and wades into the sea, wetting his expensive suit.
My hysterical giggles are drowned out by the sound of the waves.
We fall to the floor and his body is on top of mine, his mouth inches from mine and his eyes staring at me with desire.
In an impulse of mixed emotions, I pull him by the collar and make our lips touch. Her mouth opens, her tongue asked for passage, I open my mouth allowing her to enter. Our tongues touch and let out a moan at the taste of cinnamon. Her tongue explored my mouth with desire, my leg rests on her waist and her hand goes to my buttock, squeezing it. My hands gently run the nails along the back of her neck and dark her sigh.
His hand slides down my leg and spreads it slowly across the outside of my thigh and squeezes.
God, I'm about to have s*x on the beach with a stranger! The push and his eyes stared at me in confusion.
“I'm sorry, I don't usually have these casual relationships… God, I don't go making out with strangers. I think I must have had too much to drink.
Ícaro gets up and offers his hand for me to get up, I timidly accept it.
“I understand you, I'm not a causal man either.
Samuel pulls me by the waist and his lips whisper in my ear.
— But I can't deny that it was good to feel your lips on mine and your body in my hands.
Flustered I see him walk away from me and smile maliciously. I'm speechless for a few seconds. Watching him climb the porch steps, I'm pretty sure I'm totally drunk. I run my hands over my face and look out over the ocean. What kind of person am I? Is it just a mix of emotions for me to do something that is completely against who I am?
I go up the stairs after putting on my heels, I look for him in the environment but I don't find him. I feel a slight curiosity in me, but it is soon erased with the arrival of Igor's message that he had arrived to pick me up.

The weeks passed and in the midst of several photo shoots and odd jobs, I managed to take my long-awaited summer vacation.
I packed my bags with Aline's help, I was going to spend the holidays with grandma at her ranch in the south of the United States.
I confess that anxiety killed me, I was afraid of losing my dear grandmother to cancer and the anxiety of seeing her again after 5 years.
Had she changed much? How were the people in the city? And my childhood friends, do they remember me?
Okay, a lot of what I was thinking about was just paranoia. It's only been five years, not a long time for things to change, especially in a country town.
As I let Grandma know I would be spending my vacation with her, I could feel her excitement through the call. She was finally more receptive to visits, I think time really is the best medicine.
Packing my bags, there were still many fears and uncertainties in my head. I really needed this time to heal, to free myself from all this toxicity that has been haunting me lately.
Cross-legged on the bed, Aline watches me close my suitcase.
The blonde slammed her hand on the suitcase making an annoying sound, since she was a little girl she had the bad habit of making annoying sounds when she was nervous and that was always one of the things I hated most about her.
I look at her seriously and in seconds the blonde stops and smiles embarrassed.
