The next morning, Melita got awake as usual to get ready for work. She glanced at the clock and slowly got down from the bed.
She stepped into the bathroom and watched her image through the mirror positioned there.
"He didn't spend the night here with me, and it's boring. Does it mean that I can't be without him? Or, maybe his presence just fills the room." She heaved a big sigh and pulled out her hair cap.
When she was fully ready for work, it was almost 8am, yet Ferdinand wasn't awake.
"Is his breakfast ready?" Melita referred to Christine after she was done with her plate of meals.
Christine came closer to the dinning. "Is anything the problem Ma? I'll serve him when he's awake."
"No! I want to do that before leaving. Get it here for me."
She left to the kitchen
