Chapter 3

January 14th,1933| The next day

While Anna was reading a book in her favorite spot,Vivian was packing her stuffs into her large sling bag. Her picks up a basket and immediately,her squirrels jumps into it.

Anna could hear them squeaking. She quickly rose from the corner she was seated and then,she approaches her Vivian.

“Where are you going?” She was surprised to see that Vivian was all dressed up in a light grey roomy shirt with matching grey pants and black boots. She held a black coat in her left arm and a basket in the other,her squirrels were in it.

Her sling bag was hung across her left shoulder to her right hip and her hair was moved back from her face and held in a ponytail with few strands of it,falling front from the edges.

“I am going to the bay in search of Captain Razor. You don’t have to worry about me,I have decided to take the trip.” Vivian responded.

“Take what trip? ... the pointless journey to an unknown island that probably doesn’t exists?? What are you thinking,Vivian??? Have you gone mad???”

“Are you not the one complaining all these while that I could get us into trouble? Now... an opportunity to make us filthy rich lands in our palms and you want me to overlook it??”

“What opportunity are you talking about? The lies that we were being told last night?? There is no such thing as a giant race?!!!”

“But I will still give it a try! You don’t expect good things to come to you when you are stuck in one place. Even if I don’t find the hidden island,at least,I could gather experiences from life on the sea.”

“You are sounding ridiculous! Do you want to die?!!” Anna snaps.

“I DON’T CARE!” Vivian screams vehemently. In other to make her stand known to every body around her.

Anna was taken aback and then,she frowns.

“Aren’t you tired of living in such a place like this? Anna,aren’t you tired of starvation and all of the other things that comes with poverty?? This is a chance for us to make our lives prosperous and i am not going to sleep on it.”

Anna stares at Vivian for a while and when she saw that Vivian was dead serious,she lets out a sigh and then,she looks away from her.

“I will be back,Anna. Soonest. Don’t worry too much and please... do take care of yourself.” Vivian said with a smile on her face.

She walks to the exit and then,Anna lets out another sigh.

“Where do you think you are going without me?” Anna said,glancing at her.

Vivian turns around to look at her.

“Huh?”

“Yeah right,I’m coming with you. Now wait up while I put my things in order. You are not the only one who loves an adventure.” Anna said and then,she smirks.

They arrived at the bay and they began searching for Razor,the Captain. They were being directed to a portion of the bay and to their surprise,the ships that were in the port,was infact Pirate ships.

They quickly approached a man who was lifting a wooden box beside the edge of the deck.

“Hello sir,we are looking for Captain Razor.” Anna said.

The man points at a ship and when they turned to see it,they marveled at how big and beautiful it looked.

They scurried to the ship as they could see some men were moving into it.

“Hey! Wait!!” Anna calls out to a man that was climbing into the ship.

The man turns around to look at them as they were coming towards his direction.

“How can I be of help,ladies?” His voice was very deep and it sounded cold that it made them shudder.

“We are looking for Captain Razor,Sir. We would like to give him something.” Vivian said.

“Can I see what it is?” The man asks.

“No. We want to give to him by ourselves.” Vivian replies.

The man observes them with a piercing and frightening gaze. When he saw that they didn’t look threatening,he tells them to follow him.

They moved into the ship. They could see a lot of pirates in it and they were getting ready to sail.

They were led to the upper decking,a very handsome man stood there,dressed as a Pirate ship Captain and they could both see that he had a taut build.

“Captain,we have visitors.” The man said.

Razor glances at Vivian and Anna,he then gives them a warm smile.

“What a pleasant day it is,this morning. What must have brought two beautiful ladies on my ship?” He approaches them.

“If you are Captain Razor,then I want you to have this.” Vivian said,taking out the paper from her pocket and then,she hands it him.

Razor collected it. He read through and then,he faintly squinted his eyes at the paper.

“She sent you both to me?” He asks,lifting his gaze from the paper and to Vivian.

“Yes.” Vivian responded.

He held Vivian’s gaze searchingly for a few seconds and then,he glances at the man beside them.

“Alright then. Give them a room. They are our passengers and we are to take them to their destination.” He said.

“Oh thank you,Razor.” Vivian elatedly said.

“Thank you so much,sir. We are very grateful.” Anna said.

The man took them down the decking with Razor watching them as they moved. A tall black guy approaches Razor from behind and he stands beside him.

“Is anything the matter,Captain?” He asks.

“Nothing at all. Those ladies...” he folded his arms across his chest “...watch them closely. It seems our long search for that treasure has finally come to an end as they will be leading us to it.” He said.
