THE LATEST LOCATION of the demon marketplace was all the way uptown in Fort Tryon Park. Overgrown trees and brush obscured the entrance to what used to be the New Leaf Restaurant. Out went mediocre food served to tourists. In came a bazaar of the bizarre. As soon as she opened the door, a barrage of smells assaulted Kissera. Many were pleasant herbs and spices from distant parts of the globe. Others reminded her of the dreadful Malort and had to have come straight from the Netherworld.
