THEY FLEW ACROSS TOWN to Frankie's, a hole-in-the-wall supernatural dive that welcomed everyone, demon or otherwise. Until now, Lucifer stayed clear of the place. Rejects gathered there. Those who couldn't, or wouldn't, get along with their own kind. Lucifer landed with a soft touch, snapping his wings into place. Kissera landed just as neatly beside him. A couple of strands of her hair blew across her face, freeing themselves from the braid she'd wrestled it into earlier. It softened the fierce golden glow in her eyes. The more time he spent with her, the more he liked her. It extended beyond the unique factor and into what little he knew of what made her tick.
