Chapter Five The Awakening I awoke sore and somewhat confused. Normally, I wore both a nightgown and panties; I regained consciousness with neither. Normally, The Reverend would have “left for work” before I arose; but he was watching me, quite closely, as I attempted to pull myself free of the spider webs of sleep, as I tried to remember—and then, perhaps, quickly tried to forget—the previous day. Normally, my body felt . . . mine; not at all the way I felt as I tried to bring myself fully awake on this particular day. There were pains and there were aches; there was confusion and there were blank patches; parts of me—intimate and private parts—hurt! And disturbingly—deliciously!—so.
