Chapter 4: The Awakening of Heroes

Luke clicked 'Confirm.' Two pixelated characters lit up with a white glow, and with this glow, they were granted the title of "Heroes." Luke discovered that, in addition to the Prophet character, these new Hero characters could also be controlled. By selecting a location, the two Heroes would explore and patrol that area. Unlike the Prophet who preferred intellectual tasks, the Heroes were adept at physical exploration and adventure.

Luke accessed a more detailed character interface by clicking repeatedly on the 'Pig-Fish Brothers.' In this interface, the pixelated images of the two male heroes displayed their characteristics: the Pig Hero was muscular, while the Fish Hero appeared more agile. Despite both wearing the same leather vests, they were not equipped with any other gear.

The attributes of the Pig Hero and Fish Hero were displayed as:

Luke realized that this game had many similarities with the "Heroes of Might and Magic" series. Both Prophets and Heroes could lead troops in combat. Considering the sparse population and low production level of the Garlic Tribe, he knew that it would take time to develop professional soldiers.

Therefore, Luke decided to send the Pig-Fish Brothers to explore the forest together. Despite relying on these two 'bachelor heroes,' he still hoped they would bring some good fortune. Minutes later, the Pig-Fish Brothers indeed found something valuable in the forest. They discovered a settlement of the Forest Tribe and engaged in communication with its residents. The Forest Tribe acknowledged the faith of the Garlic Tribe and expressed willingness for interaction and cooperation.

Informed of this news, Luke had them return to the tribe. He pondered whether to inform the Forest Tribe about the bear issue, as the Garlic Tribe was still weak, and establishing trade relations with the Forest Tribe might attract attacks from demon worshippers. But it was also an opportunity for the tribe to reach out to the outside world, potentially trading for much-needed leather and meat.

Luke decided to take action, selecting the Prophet and moving him to the forest, believing that development was the key. He realized that if the Garlic Tribe wanted to survive and develop, they must seize every opportunity. When the Prophet arrived in the forest, an exclamation mark appeared over his head, surprised to find himself in the forest.

The Prophet communicated with the leader of the Forest Tribe, a Shaman wearing a leather vest and a wooden mask, a symbol of their tribe. The game interface showed that the Forest Tribe had a large population living in tree houses in the forest. The Forest Tribe had two main professions: Farmers and Hunters. The Farmers were responsible for growing berries and mushrooms and trading food, while the Hunters specialized in hunting and leather production.

Ten minutes later, Luke saw several new messages on the game interface: the Prophet informed the Forest Tribe about the attacks by demon worshippers, making their attitude friendly; the Prophet taught them how to cultivate garlic, making their attitude intimate; the Garlic Tribe successfully allied with the Forest Tribe, and faith began to spread in the Forest Tribe. Luke was satisfied with these achievements as it not only brought a reliable trade partner to the Garlic Tribe but also completed the 'Divine Gift' task.

Luke checked the temple interface and found that the 'Divine Gift' slot had been emptied, meaning he could bestow something else on the Garlic Tribe. He pondered what the Garlic Tribe currently needed the most. At that moment, he received a gift from the Forest Tribe: a Cactus Follower that could increase faith by 1 point per hour.

Luke immediately took out the Cactus Follower. It looked ordinary, but when Luke issued a command, it unexpectedly grew arms and legs and began to clean the room. Luke watched the Cactus Follower work, feeling the joy of being a deity.
