Escape

I woke up on a soft, flush bed. I was a bit disoriented as I tried to find my bearings. I looked around the room and the wealth of the surroundings. Just the bed alone probably cost more than my house, there were paintings on the wall, furniture and a vanity table. I sat up and felt my legs land on soft rugs it was impressive, the grandeur and on any other day I would have been awed but not today. A handsome ruthless man who I had seen snap a man’s neck without effort had chased me two nights ago, found me the next morning and drugged then kidnapped me. What was worse than that, he was werewolf and believed that I was his mate. It was a lot to process but I wasn’t coming to terms with it. I would not have believed it except I had seen the man’s face transform and become more of a wolf with my very own eyes. I had so much questions but I did not know who to ask them. No one will believe me. I barely believed it myself. I was on my own and in danger. I felt like crying but at that moment I remembered something or someone much more important. Bella!!!! What had the done with her? I had to find her. We could run away from this together and start over somewhere else. Bella was too young to be on her own, and certainly shouldn’t be around my useless mother. I jumped down and began pacing the room looking for anything that would help me . I drew back the massive curtains and realised that it was evening time not the next morning. I found my shoes and put them on. I could be deadly silent when I wanted too. And I was. I tried the door and was surprised when it opened. I creeped through the hallway without making a sound. My mind and body were on high alert. The house was massive. A large stairway appeared that spiralled downwards. My instincts immediately cautioned me against it. I listened closely and could hear the lull of a conversation between two people though I could not accurately hear what was being said. I had to find another way out of here. I went back to my room to think. Whey were there no guards. The two men behind Liam had served as guards though he definitely didn’t need them. Then it hit me! They did not yet expect me to be awake. I had the element of surprise. I looked out through the window and saw a balcony leading to another room. It was close enough to this that I could jump to it from the window. Without thinking of the risks I moved immediately creeping out out the window and balancing on the ledge. I took a breath and leaped out managing to catch the railing on the balcony. My heart was in throat as adrenaline pumped through my body. There were pillars that went down to the ground. I round my legs around it and descended however halfway through I slipped off and fell the remaining way to the ground. Pain shot up my led as i stifled a scream. Taking no time to check my self and injuries I hopped to the front of the house a gravel pathway had cars parked on it. I saw a convertible classic ford Mustang and moved towards it immediately, it would be the easiest to bypass. Though it was not the best choice for a getaway vehicle I suspected it was Liam car. It was obviously in good condition so I knew that taking it would definitely upset Liam some. That made it worth taking. I jumped into it barely noticing that my leg had healed and the few scraps that I got from falling had closed completely. I had always had the strange ability to heal faster than humanly possible, when I found out I kept it to myself and barely thought about it. My mothers only good boyfriend was a mechanic he had thought me how to drive and lot about cars before he finally grew tired of my mother and left. I silently thanked him as I rummaged through the glove box I found a knife and smiled to myself. I cut some wires hidden beneath the steering column and took a moment to calm myself. Immediately I started the engine they would hear and chase, I was ready. I touched the wires together and the engine roared to life. Before I was through the gravel way I saw Liam running at me at an insanely fast rate. I was scared , and accelerated more. I burst through the small gates that were more for aesthetic purposes than any sort of protection. I hit the asphalt and swerved sharply building speed. Liam had stopped running before I hit the gate even he could not match the cars speed. I sped till I found my self in a town from there I hid in a park, and figured out where I was. I was at the City Centre about 45 miles from my town, Devils Den. I knew the road and was constantly watching for Liam and his goons. All I could do was pray that my sister was okay. I parked a block away on the other side of my street and walked to my house, always looking out for any sudden moves, it was completely dark and every where was silent. Liam had to know I would come here, but I had to see my sister. I entered the house and was greeted by the sight of my mother high as a kite. There were two needles on the floor beside her, and I briefly wondered where she gotten the money from. I moved past her when she spoke. “ you have fffuucked up pretty bad young lady” she said snidely. “they gave me so much money” she said with a smile. “i wont tell you were I kept it” she laughed, “ won’t give you nothing hmm” I was surprised she still recognised me in this state. “Where is Bella” I asked, scared of the answer. “took her along, I wanted them to take me along” my mother puffed briefly upset before some mind blowing phenomenon had her enraptured again. I sank to the floor as the tears freely flowed now. Bella was all I had and those monsters took her. I saw a note on the center table and took it. The handwriting was crisp, clear and cursive. “If you ever want to see your sister again, you will come back at once” the note read It was signed, “ Liam, your mate”
