Chapter 6 The morning sun was shining more brightly than ever, as Ashley rinsed the dress she had washed. Her hands looked pale and white and her fingers were aching due to the number of clothes she had washed. After the building washing machine broke down, clothes were heaped and she hated the fact that her clothes were the worst of them all. She'd walk both day and night and time was not on her side, it had never been. Sandra walked out to the backyard of their apartment.
