We waited a little longer, but the doctors were still in the operation room with Jayden. I was getting anxious and impatient. John was holding my hand, trying to comfort me. They were warm and soft. "Can I ask you a question, dear?" he asked, and I looked at him with a small smile on my face, "do you like my son? The question caught me off guard, and I didn't know what to answer. I was nervously playing with the end of my shirt. I looked at the double doors where he was taken and nodded. "Yes, sir. I like him. He is a very good friend and even though we just met, he has shown me his kindness. He is helping me a lot and I am really grateful, although it might be too much," I replied letting out a chuckle "he has this crazy idea of teaching me English and refinement.
