Amy’s POV: Hours later we were still on the road. Connor was no longer sticking to the back roads, fearing the rogues had made in almost reckless, all he wanted to do was get us to safety and he wanted it done quickly. We stopped for gas, and to relief ourselves once. The rest of the time he drove the open roads, silently. He hadn’t spoken once since our ordeal at the farmhouse. I stared out the window, I was still high strung after what happened, but the more we drove the better I felt. “Oh, thank the goddess” I turned to him “What, what is it?” “My brother and Calib are up ahead” I stared through the front windscreen, but I couldn’t see anything. “I can’t see anything” He turned his relieved smile toward me “You will” Minutes later I saw the car parked on the side of the road.
