Chapter Two:Encounter with the rich

*In Lane mall, a place for both the rich and the average person.Carlie had to come here to get a new outfit for her upcoming test acting coming up very soon, she had signed up for Mellow entertainment industry, famous for the top actors and actresses in the entertainment industry.

"Dad, stay here and wait for me, I'll be back very soon you,I just need to get some things."Carlie said.

"It's not like I could go anywhere."her father said painfully.

Of course, he saw his darling wife leaving the house with her luggage he had already guessed what she was going to do so he chased after her and saw her with another man who sent his hefty looking bodyguards to disable one of his legs.

"Dad,let's forget about the past, she's going to suffer for it whether she likes it or not ,let's just focus on the present. What should I get for you to cheer you up ." Carlie said trying to lighten up the mood.

"I don't need much just help me with some fruits,that should be okay for now"her dad replied.

Carlie moved from aisle to aisle trying to find the best outfit to wear to the acting test,as she was going she heard a noise from where she had left her dad at first,she quickly ran over to see what was going and on getting there she saw that an old person was being hit she checked the bench where she had left her father at first and seeing him there she was relieved that nothing bad had happened to him,she quickly ran over to save the other old person that was already on the ground still being hit. She pushed through the people there and helped the man up.When she looked up, she landed face to face with her former college classmate who used to bully her and make fun of her everytime she saw her.

"Oh, Carlie Walter,we meet again, I should have known that it was you who looked so ugly and wretched, what are you doing here,let me guess, looking for a job, looking for people to beg money or maybe even trying to steal something"

Genevieve Linderson said loudly.

I knew we would get to this part so let's do a simple introduction.Genevieve is the hidden illegitimate child of the Linderson family, but she is not short on money as she is always pampered by her mother and also being taken care of by her father, although she still feels like he has all his attention on his son born from the real wife.

"I don't have time to spare with an ugly demon who looks like she is trying to suck out the life of others,the real question is that why on earth would you even bully an elder, who do you think you are that you think you can bully anyone even someone who is way older than you, try to look at yourself in the mirror and then judge your look and every other thing about yourself then you can judge others and then compare the results, I have a feeling that you wouldn't even have the courage to bully anyone"Carlie said.

"b***h, I'll kill you right now, you disgust me so much"Genevieve said while trying to slap her.

"If i'm a b***h and I disgust you so much,then I think you should leave here"

"Yeah, why don't you leave"An enchanting voice says behind Carlie.

Carlie, out of curiosity,turns to meet with a guy who looks like a devil that can put a love spell on anyone who looks at him,his looks made it impossible to look away, from his blonde hair which had a little curve at his face,to his handsome face, to his muscular body accompanied with his height and to his oversized hoodie and bad boy pants, everything about him looked like he was sent on a love mission where he was to be fallen for.

Carlie was obviously not overturned by his looks, but, Genevieve on the other hand was practically drooling with mouth agape and eyes wide open.

"W...who are you that you care so much about her"Genevieve asked before Carlie could make a move.

"I supported her because she helped my dad, you dare to even bully my dad,and then try to make a scene, you need to experience more than what you did.Which hand did you use to touch him"Steve asked her as he looked at her menacingly.

"I...I didn't touch him,they"She said pointing to her bodyguards.

"No,no,we acted according to her command"The bodyguards said, obviously shaken by the sight of the black clad bodyguards standing at Steve's back.They were just hired so they don't stand a chance against trained bodyguards.

Genevieve:........ 'What the heck,are these guys even real bodyguards, they look like they are gonna wet their pants or maybe they have.'

"I see,so your mouth committed the crime,I could deal with that, boys,help her to tame her mouth"He commanded.

During all the commotion, Steve's dad had already found his way to the bench where Carlie's dad was.

"Are you okay old chap, I'm sorry that I didn't help you back there, but I don't have the ability to move around"James, Carlie's dad said.

"It's okay, thankfully,a young girl came to help me out"Charles, Steve's dad said.

"Oh, you mean Carlie"James replied.

"She's your daughter?Wow, she's so beautiful, children, just look at how Steve stood behind her like a bodyguard"Charles said.

"Here they come,have my number,call me immediately you arrive at your place,see you hopefully very soon"Charles continued.

Steve didn't show much interest in getting to know Carlie or even looking at her,he had already seen the clothes she wore and decided that she wasn't worth his time.

"Dad, let's go"They both said,as they met their dads and went separate ways.
