Chapter 0006 - Sign It

Dahlia woke up when she felt hungry and nauseous. When she opened her eyes, she was exposed to a relatively dim room and only the lampshade on the side table served as light. She got up immediately. She peeked at her body under the blanket wrapped around her and there she saw that she was wearing a brand-new silk nightdress. Yes, she remembered that her blouse and bra were torn, as well as the skirt she was wearing. But she refused to think about who would put on the clothes for her. Dahlia bit her lower lip and felt herself. It wasn't long before she realized everything that had happened last night. The excruciating pain in her whole body is eating her up alive, especially her exhausted feeling. She had been awake for a while, and she was still remembering what happened last night. She breathed a sigh of relief when she felt nothing or any pain in that part — maybe Carter didn't do it to the end. Perhaps he did not pursue what he planned to do to her. For some reason, she doesn't know, and she has no intention of finding out. Dahlia rolled her eyes across the room. She looked down at the terrace that was open as the curtain danced because of the wind. Her eyes even caught the tie Carter used on her last night. She felt angry again but she immediately ignored that. When she turned her gaze to the clock, her eyes narrowed, even more, when she saw that it was about noon. She can't remember how she fell asleep last night — the last thing she remembers is Carter abruptly stopping what he was doing to her before he finally left on top of her. Maybe she was just too tired to sleep. During this period of time, the endless exams, her grandmother's illness, and all kinds of difficult guests she meets every night have made her so tired that Carter's appearance has become the last straw that weighs on the camel. As Dahlia’s mind continued to fly, the door suddenly slammed, and it spat out Carter, who immediately focused his cold gaze on her. Before she could speak, he suddenly threw something in front of her, so her forehead frowned. "What is this?" Dahlia said and picked up the paper. "Doesn't that look like paper?" Carter said philosophically, so she looked at him in amazement. "Are you joking? You are not funny," she said. He looked deeper at her and leaned against the door jamb with his arms crossed. He had no upper garment and only wore sweatpants. Before Dahlia could look down at his body, she quickly averted her eyes. "Sign it." Carter commands. His voice was cold and seemed very lazy. She ignored what he said and glanced at the whole paper. Her forehead furrowed as she read what was written there. SLAVE AGREEMENT I, ________, hereafter called ANDERSON’S SLAVE, agree to voluntarily give up all the rights, personal and legal, and become the personal property of my owner CARTER ALEC ANDERSON, hereafter called MY LORD. The SLAVE agrees to obey and submit completely to her owner in all ways. There are no boundaries of place, time, or situation in which the SLAVE may willfully refuse to obey the directive of her owner. The SLAVE also agrees that once entered into this SLAVE AGREEMENT, her body, her heart, mind, soul, and time belong to her owner, to be used as seen fit. The SLAVE agrees to please her owner to the best of her ability, in that she now exists solely for the pleasure of her owner. The SLAVE understands that all that she has, and all that she does, shall now move from right to privilege, granted only as her owner wishes, and only to the extent that her owner finds useful. In an instant, the anger Dahlia felt towards Carter revived. There's a lot more in there, but she hasn’t finished reading it yet because her brain can't accept it. She quickly turned to Carter, still watching her. Dahlia laughed sarcastically. "You're really joking," she said and threw the paper back at him. "I will definitely not sign that useless contract. You're out of your mind," she added, and started to organize herself because she could no longer bear to be with him in the same place. "And you think I'm giving you a choice here?" Carter’s voice was deep, as if threatening, so she looked at him again. There was a trace of anger in his eyes. And he's the one who is mad now? What he wants her to do is to obey everything he says. What does he think of himself? God? How absurd! "And do you also think I will agree to whatever you want? You don't own me!" Dahlia yelled at Carter. She blinked quickly when he immediately crossed the gap between the two of them and grabbed her by her neck. Her eyes widened as he picked her up and violently leaned against the wall as he strangled her. "C-Carter, what are you doing?! It hurts!" She screams as she already feels fear because of what he is doing to her. "You'll get hurt more and there is nothing you can do, Dahlia. You have no choice this time but to obey me or else..." "Or else what? You'll bring me to hell? I'm in hell now! What else do you want?" Dahlia shouted at Carter while trying to get rid of his hold on her, but he was too resistant. He was fuming mad that he could kill her now! She couldn’t understand where else his anger was coming from! She had just left him. Why was that such a big deal to him? He is handsome and rich! Many women will love him! Why is he still focusing on her now? Carter’s eyes hardened and narrowed into slits as he watched Dahlia. His jaw clenched even more. "You don't know what I'm capable of, Dahlia. You don't know me very well yet, so if I were you, sign the contract, or I'd ruin your whole life, including your job, your family and your friends. Try me." He threatened her. Her heart pounded with pain. The more she looks at him now, the more she realizes that this is no longer really the former Carter she loved. He had really changed — something that made her heart heavier because she still hoped that there was still good left in his heart. Dahlia bit her lip to stop the path of her tears. That lump in her throat became heavier and more painful. Adding to her feelings was the difficulty of losing his hold on her. "I-I won't sign any stupid contract from you, Carter," she told him emphatically, full of pain and hatred, and then pushed him violently. Dahlia quickly turned away from him when she felt her tears fall. She picked up her belongings and was ready to leave, but before she could get away, he grabbed her again. She looked at Carter full of hatred. They stared at each other until he suddenly threw his coat at her and looked all over her body. "Wear it. You're showing your body too much," he ordered her. When she did not answer, he approached her again and touched her chin. Dahlia blinked twice as her tears kept streaming down her face. She has nothing else on her mind but the desire to leave this place. "Don't take my words as a joke, Dahlia. I am clearly warning you. I will give you three days to think about it, although you don't have any choice here. You probably don't want to lose everything, do you?" He mocked the threat at her and looked at her whole being again. Dahlia gasps. She can feel her heart beating faster because of too much fear. She pushes Carter violently again and quickly leaves that place.
