HAELENA
Mate?
What a joke. In my world, that word was nothing but a cruel joke.
My ears had to be playing tricks on me. It didn’t seem like he had recognized me yet.
“Who are you?” he growled, taking a step towards me. I, however, didn’t give him the chance to do anything else.
I turned and darted down the hallway as fast as my legs could carry me, making a beeline for the kitchen.
“Wait! What’s your name?” His baritone voice reverberated through the walls, loud enough that every staff member in that quarter had probably heard him.
The sound alone terrified me, by the time I stumbled into the kitchen, my breathing had become erratic.
The kitchen staff threw me curious side glances, but everyone was too occupied with the endless chores to question me. Smoke and steam filled the grand kitchen as cooks barked orders and servants hurried from one station to another.
I barely had a moment to catch my breath before Anna threw an apron at me.
“Get to work before Luna Aekeira comes back,” she warned. “She couldn’t find you earlier and almost ordered your death. The only thing that distracted her was the news that the Triplet Alphas had arrived at her quarters.”
My heart thumped violently. I hurriedly tied the apron around my waist and rushed to the sink, scrubbing the pile of used dishes before me.
But I couldn’t concentrate, My mind drifted back to the corridor.
Oh, my Goddess… That was actually Alpha Samael.
The most mysterious of the Bloodworth triplets, People often said all three Alpha heirs were monsters.
They weren’t wrong, but they were different kinds of monsters.
Alpha Logan’s rage burned like wildfire. You saw it coming.
Alpha Cullen smiled while he broke you, making sure you felt every ounce of humiliation before he was done.
But Alpha Samael… He was a silent storm. He could order your execution without ever raising his voice.

After I finished washing a batch of dishes, the entire kitchen suddenly fell silent.
Every servant immediately lowered their heads in a bow. Luna Aekeira had arrived.
She strode into the kitchen with two attendants trailing behind her, her piercing eyes sweeping across the room as though searching for someone.
Searching for me. The moment her gaze landed on me, she stopped. Hatred flashed across her face.
“It has gotten to my notice,” she said coolly, “that a worthless omega rat is shamelessly polluting my quarters with her flirtatious pheromones.”
My heart plummeted, There were only three omegas working in the Bloodworth household.
Yet her eyes never left mine. “How dare you attempt to confuse one of the Alpha heirs with your disgusting scent?” she spat. “You desperate little whore.”
She gave a dismissive wave of her hand.
“I have no interest in investigating which one of you is responsible.” Her attendant stepped forward and placed a bottle of pheromone suppressant on the kitchen island.
“So every omega in this household will drink it.”
The other two omegas hurried forward without hesitation, each taking a sip before stepping back.
My fingers curled into trembling fists.
Every single day, Luna Aekeira forced one potion or another down my throat.
Wolfsbane. Suppressants. Scent blockers.
She fed them to me as though they were medicine, but they weren’t. Over time, they slowly destroyed a wolf from within, I couldn’t afford to lose mine…
Not with my condition.
Truthfully… I hadn’t even felt my wolf’s presence in months.
And pheromone suppressants… They dulled the bond so completely that even if your fated mate stood right in front of you…
Neither of you would know. “And you, Haelena?” Luna Aekeira’s voice sliced through my thoughts.
I swallowed.
“You already gave me a suppressant this morning, my Lady…” I answered quietly.
Before I could utter another word, two attendants seized me. They forced me to my knees.
One clamped a hand around my jaw while the other pried my mouth open.
“My Lady—” Luna Aekeira didn’t even blink.
She uncorked the bottle and poured every last drop down my throat. The liquid burned like fire.
I choked violently as it scorched its way down, tears springing uncontrollably to my eyes while the attendants held me down until I swallowed every single drop.

As the guests began arriving for the soirée, I was assigned one chore after another.
Usher the guests in, Escort them to their tables. Serve refreshments. Never stop moving.
Almost everyone from my school was there, arriving with their parents. Noble families filled the grand hall, their expensive gowns and tailored suits making the mansion look even grander.
I made sure to stay as far away from the triplets as possible. They were the center of attention.
Powerful Alphas and influential nobles clustered around them, discussing politics, business, and pack affairs. Some even shamelessly introduced their daughters, subtly offering them as future concubines to the Alpha heirs.
Meanwhile… I kept my head lowered. As long as I remained invisible, they wouldn’t recognize me.
After all, I was too insignificant for three Alpha heirs to notice. Or so I hoped.
I had just escorted a junior from my school and her parents to their table when the girl suddenly pointed at me.
“Mother, that’s Haelena…” she giggled. “The tampon bin.”
The three of them burst into laughter. My heart shattered. I didn’t dare react.
“It’s a pity she wasn’t executed alongside her traitorous father,” the woman’s mother said loud enough for me to hear. “Worthless omegas like her have no place in the Supreme Alpha’s household.”
Every word struck like a blade. I lowered my head in a respectful bow, swallowing the lump in my throat before hurrying away.
I just needed to get out of there. I had barely taken two steps before I collided with someone.
My breath hitched. Slowly, I lifted my head, it was Jenna Gomer, my heart clenched.
“I’m so sorry… I’m so—” Before I could finish apologizing, Jenna’s palm crashed across my face. The force sent me stumbling into the nearest table.
Glassware and wine crashed onto the marble floor, shattering with a deafening clatter that silenced the entire banquet hall, every head turned.
“How dare you, you lowly omega!” Jenna shrieked, clutching her arm as though I had attacked her first. “You violently shoved me!”
She pointed an accusing finger at me, tears instantly welling in her eyes.
“Are you trying to ruin my day? Is it my fault you’re a worthless omega who has to serve the rest of us?”
In a matter of seconds… She had twisted the entire situation, I immediately dropped to my knees.
“I apologize… I-I didn’t mean to…” I stammered, my voice trembling as panic consumed me.
Moments ago, I had been praying to remain invisible, Now, I have become the center of attention. Just not in the way I feared.
“Don’t apologize to me!” Jenna screamed.
Before I could react, the pointed heel of her shoe slammed into my chest. Pain exploded through me.
The impact knocked the air from my lungs, and I crashed onto the floor with a strangled groan, my heart pounding so violently it felt as though it had stopped altogether.
No one moved. If anything, the guests stepped farther away, as though merely standing too close to me would stain their noble reputations.
I was just a wretched omega. A traitor’s daughter, Someone not worth defending. Jenna wasn’t done, Her heel came down on my stomach.
Once. Twice. Again, Each blow drove the breath from my body until I couldn’t even scream.
A mouthful of blood spilled onto the tiles.
It mixed with the sickly green suppressant Luna Aekeira had forced down my throat only hours earlier.
“Stop.”
A deep, commanding voice reverberated through the hall, everything froze. Even Jenna.
With what little strength I had left, I forced my head up. Standing before me were the three men I had spent years praying never to see again.
Alpha Logan. Alpha Cullen. Alpha Samael.
My blood ran cold, This was it. I was dead.
But the next words out of Alpha Logan’s mouth left the entire hall in stunned silence.
“How dare you assault a maid in my home?”
