The surprise visit was meant to be a day trip to celebrate Nick’s birthday, but quickly turned into an overnight stay for Vanessa. The birthday boy enjoyed their reunion so much that he was reluctant to see her go and convinced her to spend the day with him.
After she accepted his marriage proposal, Nick cleared his schedule for the rest of the day and the couple went out for a celebratory lunch.
