While Vanessa ate, she watched two episodes of the first season of Chicago Med on a flat-screen television in her room. She was not really into medical dramas. But since it was a spin-off from her beloved Chicago P.D., she had decided to give it a try. She actually enjoyed watching Chicago Fire as well. Turns out, one of the doctors on the show – Chicago Med was pregnant, and the baby’s father was dead. So Vanessa kept watching to see how the doctor would deal with the pregnancy on her own.
Afterward, she took a shower and went to bed, but did not fall asleep. Pulling a book about newborn care from her nightstand, she added it to the list of items she would need to purchase for the baby.
