Chapter Nine

1713 Words
After witnessing Liana with Jonas, I thought I’d feel a sense of relief at finally exposing the truth, but instead, I felt a heavy weight settle on my chest. Theo didn’t say a word as we left the restaurant. His silence was deafening, and I could see the storm of emotions brewing beneath his calm facade. Instead of going home, he turned toward a nearby bar. “Are you serious?” I said, shaking my head. “You don’t want to go there right now, Theo.” He stopped in his tracks and turned to me, his face crumpling. “I just... I don’t want to go home right now, Delilah. I can’t face it.” My heart sank at the sight of his anguish. I wanted to argue, to convince him that this wasn’t the way to handle it, but I couldn’t bear to see him like this—on the verge of tears. “Fine,” I sighed, relenting as I climbed into his car. “But just this once.” As I settled into the driver’s seat, I felt the gravity of the night weighing down on me. I had my driver’s license now, which made this a little easier, so I started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot, my mind racing with what had just happened. We arrived at the bar, and Theo led me to a VIP room where we could have some privacy. He ordered an impressive array of liquors, and my eyes widened in disbelief. “Are you really going to drink all of this?” I asked, concern creeping into my voice. He smirked, a hint of his usual bravado resurfacing. “I’ll finish it with you. You’re going to help me forget about Liana, right?” I hesitated, the responsible part of me wanting to refuse. “Theo, I don’t think that’s a good idea—” “C’mon, Delilah,” he insisted, his tone almost pleading. “I need this. Just for tonight.” I took a deep breath, weighing my options. I didn’t know how else to comfort him. Maybe drinking with him would take his mind off things. “Alright,” I relented, pouring myself a shot. “But I’m not responsible for anything that happens after this.” The hours slipped away as we drank and talked, and I watched as Theo’s demeanor shifted from heartbreak to laughter. He ranted about Liana, his words becoming increasingly slurred as the alcohol took effect. “Can you believe that?” he laughed, shaking his head. “She was my everything, and now she’s just... just gone! I never even saw it coming!” I tried to maintain my composure, but his laughter was infectious, and soon I was laughing right alongside him, our shared misery transforming into a drunken camaraderie. I leaned back in my chair, feeling the warmth of the liquor coursing through my veins. I stole glances at him, seeing him in a different light—the pain in his eyes replaced by a carefree sparkle, however fleeting. Suddenly, Theo’s gaze locked onto mine, his expression shifting. “You know,” he said slowly, “you’re beautiful, Delilah.” I blinked, taken aback. “What? You’re just saying that because you’re drunk.” He shook his head. “No, really. I mean it. If I’d courted you instead of Liana, things might’ve been different.” I laughed, trying to deflect the seriousness of his statement. “Yeah, right! You said before that even if you were drunk, you’d never find me beautiful!” “That was in the past,” he replied, leaning closer. “Right now, you look beautiful to me.” As his words sank in, a silence enveloped us. I found myself captivated by his eyes, the warmth emanating from him making my heart race. The world around us faded, and before I could process my feelings, I felt Theo’s lips press against mine. I was surprised, my mind racing. This was Theo—my friend, my confidant. But as I responded to his kiss, something deep inside me stirred. I kissed him back, my head spinning, unsure if it was the alcohol or something more real that fueled this unexpected moment. He pulled me closer, and I could feel the heat radiating between us. Everything else—the heartache, the betrayal, the uncertainty—faded into the background. In that moment, it was just him and me, caught in an undeniable connection that I had never allowed myself to acknowledge before. What was happening? I thought, but I couldn’t find the strength to pull away. Instead, I leaned into the kiss, savoring the taste of something new and exciting, even amid the chaos surrounding us. His hand slid down, caressing my hip before trailing further up, and I gasped at the sudden touch, goosebumps erupting over my skin. My breathing quickened. It seemed that we were both holding our breaths, but only I knew what it meant. Our relationship wasn’t supposed to be like this—not in any capacity other than a friendship. We were two of a kind, but not in a romantic sense. And yet... here we were. He pressed forward, and his kiss became deeper. His lips moved gently against mine, tenderly coaxing my tongue out. I moaned softly, moving my hands around to caress his shoulders. My fingers tangled in his hair and my other hand trailed lower, until it stopped when it came to rest on his waistband. He pulled back slightly, allowing me to take in the whole picture. His pupils were dilated and his cheeks flushed red, his chest rising rapidly in short bursts. We stared at each other for several seconds before he leaned back in, kissing me deeply. His hand traveled higher, until it reached the hem of my shirt, slowly slipping under it. My hands slipped around his waist, pulling his body even closer to mine. I ran one hand across the soft material, tracing his abs, feeling the muscles flex beneath my fingertips. A low growl escaped him and we pulled apart. Theo’s eyes flickered with desire, staring into mine. I took a breath and began unbuttoning my shirt. Theo didn’t seem to notice; he continued to look at me hungrily, his face turning redder with each passing second. Once my shirt was off, he pushed his lips onto my collarbone, inhaling deeply as his hands continued their path down to my underwear. As he touched my skin, a strange sensation started building inside my stomach. When his finger found its way underneath the elastic band of my panties, a shudder rippled through my body. A moan escaped my lips as his fingers stroked the sensitive nub of nerves. I shivered. He grinned wickedly as his lips traveled up to the side of my throat, biting lightly as he went. I moaned again. Then his tongue swiped gently across my skin, sending another wave of tingles across every nerve ending. Before I could register what was happening, his fingers moved beneath my bra, brushing against me. I bit my lip. My breathing was starting to come quicker. I could feel myself becoming aroused, despite not being able to control it. A groan left my mouth as he moved his hand down to the front of my panties. He undid them slowly and pushed them roughly aside, reaching his hand in between us. He cupped my breast before taking a n****e into his mouth. His fingers teased the edges of my c**t. A gasp escaped my lips as I felt pleasure course through my body. He licked his lips. He looked at me, his eyes were full of lust, and my face reddened. “f**k…” I whispered hoarsely. “Please..” I said pleadingly. He smirked and pulled off my underwear completely, tossing them onto the floor. He lifted my legs onto his hips, his lips still locked on the side of my neck as he kissed his way back up to my lips. He lowered himself onto me, his member rubbing against my opening. I felt his hot breath on my shoulder and gasped as a jolt of pleasure shot through me, shooting down to my center. Suddenly he froze, his eyes widening. ‘’What is it?” I asked quickly, my heart pounding. "Y-You're a virgin?" He asked. His member, now that it's inside me, started to hurt. I closed my eyes and nodded slowly. "We can wait-" He started before I cut him off. “No!” I cried. “I want you. Please.” I opened my eyes and gazed at him, tears forming in the corners. Theo's jaw clenched, and he nodded stiffly. He shifted and sat up, looking me in the eye. The look in his eyes terrified me. I expected him to pull away, but instead, he grabbed my hand. He guided me to my knees. “Don't move.” He said quietly. I nodded quickly as his lips met mine. They parted for a few moments as he slowly entered me. His arms encircled my waist, holding me close. My head fell onto his shoulder as he rocked inside me. When he reached the end, he withdrew slightly, placing gentle kisses along my hairline. My hands clutched tightly at his sides, my body trembling as he continued thrusting inside me. My heart pounded against my rib cage. With each thrust, Theo grew harder, faster. Each time he filled me completely, the sensation was so overwhelming that I felt almost dizzy. He kissed my forehead repeatedly, then leaned forward to whisper in my ear. “Let go. Don't fight it." His words sent waves of ecstasy coursing through me. I wrapped my arms around him, clutching him tighter than I ever had before. My body jerked as an orgasm hit me and his name spilled out of my lips, barely audible. A loud roar erupted from him, and he exploded inside me with a scream. His fingers squeezed my hips tightly as he came, his body shaking violently. After a moment, it calmed, and he collapsed onto me, falling asleep shortly after. While watching him fall asleep, I didn't realize that I also fell asleep.
