Zelda's POV
Its been three months already since Orion and I started to date. I did not even how these three months passed and during these three months, Orion treated me like a princess. He gave me the perfect high school life that I wanted. He gave me all that I ever wanted. Late-night calls and the most important of all, he gave me my ideal date. The date under the starry sky. He was all that I ever wanted in a lover.
Ever since I told him that I feel alone sometimes because most of the time, my dad stays at his work. He started coming over for breakfast. It sort of became our routine, he'd come to have breakfast and then we would go to school together and every weekend, he would take me on dates. Although it's not a surprise that I fell for his cute dimpled smile, his big blue eyes, and his charming ways. I knew that it was too soon for me to say that I fell in love with him but I did. I have to agree that this is rather scary.
During these past three months, I visited Jenny's parents every day, in the hope that I could find something about Jenny and also provide a kind of silent support because I knew how it felt to lose someone very precious and dear to your heart. I knew that at this moment, words won't matter. I also tried to meet Jenny's friend, trying to get some information to give me a clue about her whereabouts.
Sometimes I wonder 'what happened to Vanessa? Is it all interconnected? Is Jenny also going to suffer from the same fate? Are all these incidents somehow related to Orion?'
I had a lot of questions to ask Orion but I did not want to hurt his feelings and jeopardize our relationship on something that does not even exist because all of this could be just my mind overthinking and overanalyzing every little detail.
The thing that bothers me the most is that whenever I bring up Jenny's disappearance, Orion appears fidgety and anxious. He even almost spilled a cup of hot piping on himself one time. Orion is never clumsy but on any occasion that I bring up this topic, he becomes blunderous.
Later tonight, I'm going over to Orion's place as his grandfather invited me. I was on cloud nine when his grandfather said that Orion never gets tired of speaking about me and since I seemed to be all that his grandson can think of then he must meet me.
I was ready and waiting on the porch when I got a call. I looked at the number and my eyes widened and my heart started to pound. With trembling fingers, I picked up the call and put in near my ear.
At first, due to the bad reception, I could only hear the static. Then a barely audible whisper was heard "Don't go..." with that the line when dead. After that, I tried calling her again and again but her phone was switched off.
Jenny called me...
