Chapter 4

Edward's pov

As usual I walked in to school with Lucy on my arm which unfortunately didn't stop other girls trying to talk to me. The only girl I only ever wanted talk to was my mate but where the hell was she?

Lucas was getting annoyed, like always, and wanted them all to just back off. However as future alpha I had a reputation to maintain. It is only a few months now till I become alpha and I'm not gonna lie kind of shitting myself but I think I'm ready. My father has been preparing me for the day I become alpha since I was 5 years old and I'm the top fighter in our pack.

Bringing me out of my thoughts "Eddie I'll see you later I have to go and see my girlfriends bye" Lucy says as she kisses my cheek.

I immediately wipe my cheek and walk to my locker only to be surprised attacked my Max my other best friend and his mate following close behind, Jules.

"What up buddy why do you look so grumpy"

I stared at him and we both say "Lucy"

I carry on walking to my locker and start getting my books out. Jules then comes up to the side of my saying "Why don't you just tell her to go away no one likes her anyway she is so annoying."

I turn around to face her "You know why"

Jules walks over to Max who immediately wraps his arms around her and I cant help but feel envious of their relationship. They have been friends forever and were always destined to be mates.

Jules then continue to say "I would of punched her face in by now"

"Trust me its crossed my thoughts more times then I can count." We all start laughing and walk to our first class, English Lit, luckily Lucy is not in that class.

As we sit in class Lucas starts talking to me for the first time in days. "Somethings up"

I sit shocked at first that he actually spoke, but I quickly snap out of it "What are you on about nothings up"

"No I'm telling you something is up I can smell it literally

I start sniffing the air then I smell it to, strawberries with chocolate its intoxicating and it seems to be getting stronger by the second. Then I see her. The most beautiful creature tip toed into the room. My wolf purred as she entered and starts to scream in excitement "Mate!". She froze as if she sensed it to then she looked at me dead in my eyes. My breath stopped. I was looking into the most electric blue eyes which were an intense contrast to her lushes long dark brown hair. I was so hypnotised by her that I unconsciously began to stand to go to her. But as soon as I did she ran! The most beautiful angle, my future mate just ran away from me. I was hurt no more than hurt, heart broken, but I wasn't letting her get away that easily so I ran to.

I chased her all through the school but she was fast. Too fast. I barley managed to keep up I was about to catch her when she turned corner and just disappeared. What the hell I finally find her and she runs away from me, what's up with that. I will find her if its the last thing I do!
