Edward's pov
I open my eyes and wake up feeling tired and empty headed, as usual. Lately my wolf Lucas has been shutting me out due to us not finding our mate yet. All my life I have seen how happy my mother and father have been, and all I have ever wanted is exactly that. 4 years! 4 years I have been able to find my mate and yet nothing.
But little did I know that the person I have been looking for would come sooner than I thought.
Suddenly my door slammed open making me jump out thought.
"Rise and shine plep head"
It was my future beta (second hand man) and my best friend, Jason.
"Go away I'm sleeping"
"Well your not cause you are talking to me"
"Well I was till you barged in"
Jason pulls the curtains making me groan and pull the covers over my head. Just as i get comfy again I hear a female voice say
"Arent we a grumpy teenager this morning"
Immediately I jump out of bed saying
"Good morning Mother"
Quietly I hear Jason mumble to himself
"So you get up for her but you don't get up for your best friend great just great."
I telepathically send a message to him saying 'well duh she is the Luna of all the packs in England not to mention my mother I'm not getting on her bad side any time soon'
while messaging Jason I didn't realise my mum was talking, all I heard was the last sentence
"son you better get ready otherwise you will be late to your first day of uni chop chop"
"okay mother"
Straight after she walked out I asked Jason
"Dude did you hear anything that my mum just said"
and all he said was
"Dude I didn't even realise she was talking"
I decided to not think about it and get changed. About half an hour later I walked downstairs wearing a navy T-shirt with black jeans and a black leather jacket. When I reached the kitchen Edna ,our maid, had already made my normal breakfast of cereal and a stack of bacon. As I was eating I heard the voice I had been dreading all day.
"Hi there Eddie!"
It was the nightmare girl Lucy. This girl had been infatuated with me since preschool and the clingiest thing you have ever met. She was like super glue where ever I went she would follow and all I could do was sit there. Our parents were best friends due to them growing up together, meaning I had to endure the clingy thing as I didn't want her crying to her parents about me then them telling my parents and me being in big doo doo.
"Lucy I told you not to call me that"
"Well I'm going to call you it anyway. So how was your breakfast are you ready to go my cutie pie"
"It was good and yes we can go now lets get Jason and..."
"No lets just go together on our own"
"Ummmmmm well ...."
Thanking the lord above Jason walks in and I grab him saying
"Look he is here now lets just go all together shall we"
Before she can protest I run down to the garaged dragging Jason with me and jump in the big land rover. As Jason drives with me in the front and Lucy in the back, I think about how today is just another normal day without my mate. I didn't think in a million years today would be the day that all of that changes.
