Chapter 5 Jacksonville, FL Saturday—midmorning ONCE I WAS ACROSS the river, I headed for Hendricks Avenue and the club. Well, the Club Baths, if you must know, but I wasn’t looking for s*x, not even close. The baths occupied a building that had originally been built to house a spa, and some of the spa features were still available. I found a place in the crowded parking lot, left my deck shoes in the car, and slipped into a pair of flip-flops.
