The only thing that Vienna cared about was Damien. She had ruined things between them by letting him believe that she doubted him and their love. He was riding that morning with his mother. If he told the queen that the wedding was off, she would come for her head. And it would not be the queen dirtying her hand, because she would never let her son know she had a hand in it.
