LUCA’S POV Felicia caught me in the corridor outside her guest suite, and I kept walking. Down at the far end the sconce was guttering — low on oil, the flame dragging sideways in the draft off the east window. I'd been meaning to swap it out for a week. I looked at it now because it was easier than looking at her. She moved in front of me. "You're destroying yourself for a woman who left you." I stopped. "She didn't leave me," I said.
