CHAPTET TWO

It had been weeks and Felix could not understand why, despite the pain Chris had put him through, his heartbeat always picked up when Chris got close to him or looked at him with that beautiful dimpled smile of his. It made Felix feel all flustered. While Felix was lost in his own thoughts, the phone rang and a lady's voice was heard at the end. The lady had asked him to pass a message to Chris. Felix got up and went to deliver the message, but something seemed off. Felix didn't say anything and Chris was about to walk out when Chris asked him to shut the door and take a seat. Chris did as he was told and waited till Chris spoke up.'Look, I know I hurt badly in high school and I want to make it up to you. I want what we had back and know it's a lot to ask for, but please give me another chance' Felix had never seen Chris look so sad and almost dead inside. He could not believe what his ears were hearing right now. Chris walked over to Felix and pulled up the chair next to him and sat down, making them face each other'' I love you Felix. I never stopped and never wanted to hurt you the way I did. I do not have an excuse except for the fact that I was stupid enough to let everyone ruin what we had. I have put you through so much but you never once yelled or got mad at me. I thought I was doing what was best for you. In reality, I was putting you through hell''. At this point, Felix had started crying and Chris was hugging him, stroking the back of his head, as he let out all that he had been holding onto for the past three weeks.''.why '' was all Felix could,,,, matter, but Chris knew what he meant by that, so he told him about what his parents had done chris parents where against their son having a boyfriend the wanted chris to marry his long time friend Jolene, Jolene did have feelings for chris but chris could only see her as friend nothing more, when chris's parents had sat Jolene down she had admitted to have fallen for chris and his parents promised to get the two married chris was upset about it but didn't have much of a choice he was going to do as his parents had asked but then one day as he was playing basketball for his high school he saw felix in the crowd and thought he looked cute eating out of a bag of Doritos. Doritos were Felix's favorite chips and were the only way Maggie was able to get him to see the match. Felix usually kept to himself most of the time. He had figured out he had stayed out of sight. He wouldn't get bullied as much, so he stayed hidden until he met maggieshe and made him want to live life recklessly. She brought life to Felix's little world. Chris had seen Felix speak to Maggie during the game and when the game was over they had left. Chris could not get Felix out of his head and waited for the weekend to come to an end. It was the first time he had been so desperate to go to school. As soon as he had gotten to school he went straight up to Maggie and pulled her away from her friends ''hey cant you see I was busy, how can you just pull me here without my permission you know,,'' Chris cut her out before she could start throwing insults at him. Maggie is a beautiful girl but she has a foul mouth'' the guy that sat next to you eating a bag of doritos I need to know his name and where I can find him''. Maggie crossed her arms and looked Chris straight in his eyes ''I will not let you play with him. He's special and fragile. An ass like you would only hurt him and I would be damned if I let that happen. It was obvious there was no way Maggie was about to give him that information just like that. That day Chris had gone to the cafeteria where he usually avoided going too. He saw Felix laughing, sitting with his friends at one of the tables in a corner. He went straight to his table and ignored everyone that was calling out to him. He grabbed Felix by the hand and dragged him out of the cafeteria to the rooftop of the school building. There was a group of kids smoking up there and he told them to leave. They all left as fast as they could. No one ever wanted to get on Chris's nerves, as he was mad scared whenever he was angry. He looked at Felix and smiled when he saw how nervous he looked. He told him to relax as he leaned up against the wall and, what his name was, Felix told him, but it was barely a whisper. He could have easily missed it, so he walked up to Felix and put two fingers behind Felix's chin to make him look at him. He reassured him that he was not in any thought of trouble. He smiled again when a little sigh left Felix's lips. Chris pulled out his phone and asked Felix for his number. He told him he found him cute and wanted to know more about him. Felix seemed hesitant, so Chris raised his right hand and told Felix he had no bad intentions nor was he gonna play games with him, so Felix willingly gave him his number. Maggie scoffed at Felix and gave Chris a warning. Chris seemed happy to have gotten a chance to get close to Felix, so he didn't think much as to why he just followed his heart.
